Different Lives, Different Events

Chapter 16

Colby:

We waited like 2 and 1/2 hours until the doctor came out to tell us what happened to Leah. I was pacing couldn't sleep,couldn't eat and couldn't do anything than to worry about Leah. Finally a doctor came out and wanted to speak to us "Your friend is in critical condition. She'll survive she just needs time to recover. She will be staying overnight here for a couple of days." I was so relived to hear that Leah was fine. "Thank you so much doctor. Could we visit for a little while?" The doctor looked confused, like he didn't want to tell us something. "You may, but she may not want to talk. She's very tired and weak." I looked down at my shoes and thought for a moment "I'm not leaving until she's all better." He just smiled and turned around and walked away. I turned around and Corey and Katy looked exhausted "You guys want to see her and then house sit for her?" They looked at each other first and then Katy answered "What about you? You're coming with us too?" I thought she understood what I was doing. "No, I'm not going to home with you. I'm staying until Leah can go home and I can take care of her." Katy looked upset and confused mixed together, she then calmed down and took Corey's hand and headed out. I was alone and needed to know what room Leah was in.

Leah:

I woke up in a room where I've never been. I was remembering what happened. And I felt so sore and couldn't move well. I started to freak out when Colby wasn't there. But I quickly calmed down and saw Colby coming. I was so tired and I closed my eyes again. I heard him running over towards me room. "Leah?!" He whispered it ever so quiet, I could barely hear him. I slowly opened my eyes and saw him "Colby?!" My voice was horse and his eyes were tearing up and his face looked so horrified. "What? Got into a little accident." He soon got mad because I know he was scared "A little accident? Leah!, you nearly died!" I looked so guilty that I got hit. I didn't look both ways or it wasn't my turn to go. "I'm sorry Leah. I didn't mean to get mad at you. I just don't know what I would've done without you. I couldn't be able to live without you in my life. Because I know that the moment we got to know each other I knew you were the one for me. Leah...if I lost you, I couldn't live. I would be in pure blackness and with no happiness in my life. I love you." Those words he said was so touching and I know now how much he cares about me. "I love you too Colby." Then I blacked out and I don't know what happened from there. I heard nurses running into my room and they were in there and trying to do something.

Colby:

Her moniter started to beep and I was freaking out. The nurses got the hint and they brought the defibrillator's. Her heart beat was going up and the nurses had everything in there on her. I was started to cry because I can't loose her. Then the moniter made a long beep and it was high pitched. "Turn the defibrillators on!" I was freaking out, I didn't know what was going on. The nurses came out with their heads bowed down. "Sorry kid, we tried to save her."
