Chapter 20

Katy:

The next 2 days Corey and I had to stay there until Leah got back. While she was gone we took Alastair for a walk and also took him to the groommers. He was so freaking cute. We let Alastair run around the house. I went downstairs into Leah's cinema room and watched TV on her firestick. I heard someone coming down and looked in the way of that person., it was only Corey. "Hey!! What you doing?" I turned back toward the TV and answered "Watching TV on Leah's firestick." He came running over and hopped over the couch and sat right next to me. I looked at him with a confused face "Was that really necessary?" He looked at me and smiled. Soon after that Alastair came down and hopped on my lap. I don't really remember anything after that but I guess we were watching a movie and fell asleep.

Corey:

We got up like really early to take Alastair to the vet and groomers. Then took him for a walk. We got back and Katy headed downstairs. I had to feed and water Alastair before I went downstairs to join Katy. I ran downstairs and saw Katy on Leah's firestick. I ran and hopped over the couch and sat right next to Katy. We chose a movie and it was a really good movie. I think it was called Arrival. It was good but Katy fell asleep next to me, half way through the movie. Sue looked so peaceful sleeping I didn't want to wake her up to go upstairs in the guest bedroom so we both slept out on the couch.
*Early Morning*
"Corey....Corey!!!" I heard somebody wishpering and I opened my eyes and Colby was standing next to me. "Oh hey man! Why you here? How's Leah?" He looked down at me and said "She's doing alright. She actually just got released. She's upstairs sleeping. She's really tired." I got up quickly and made sure to not wake up Katy. "Man that's awesome! I'll wake up Katy and we'll get out." I was just so happy to hear that Leah was alright. "No,no. You guys don't have to get out. You can wait until she wakes up if you want to." I thought about it for a moment and said "No, we'll get up and pack and get out. But please....just tell me when she's awake." He nodded and I turned back to Katy and shook her and she woke up easily. I told her what happened and we both got out.

Katy:

We got out of the house and Corey drove. "So where do you live? So then u can drop you off." I told him where I lived and he got out with me. "Thank you so much for everything! For being there for me and for taking care of me and making me laugh. I love you." He looked shocked and then he smiled "Yeah no problem. Just remember that I'm always here for you in the moment you need to talk to someone. Okay. I love you too!" I got on my tiptoes and he leaned down and I kissed him very gentle. I gave him a very tight hug and said my goodbyes and started to head to my apartment.
