Different Lives, Different Events

Chapter 63

Leah:

I wake up and rolled over to see Colby already awake which is weird because it's usually the other way around.

"Well good morning sleeping beauty."
Colby said as he was smiling. I rolled my eyes and he laughed. I jumped out of bed and went to the shower. Today was the day of my bachelorette party! I'm so excited and Colby was having his today as well. I got in the bathroom and cranked be music all the way up. You know when you get in the shower you have those 'shower thoughts'. Well I started to think that this week is the wedding. My stomach felt weird and I felt weird in general. I don't know why I did, I just did. I shook every feeling that I had at the moment off. I said to myself that today is my day. I start to sing very loud in the shower because I know Colby likes his peace and quiet in the morning.

*10 minutes later*

I get out and get dressed. I twirl my hair in a towel and go to the kitchen. I was starving so I make myself some food. I made me some rice and orange chicken. My two favorite kind of foods. I sit down and watch some tv for a little bit until I hear Colby running to the living room. We live in an apartment at the moment until we decide where we are living. He jumps over the couch and I about spill everything.
"COLBY!"
He jumps a little and then looks. He then laughs.
"Sorry. So you excited for today?"
He said as he was shoving a piece of orange chicken in his mouth.
"Yeah I am actually. But this week I'm getting married."
He raised an eyebrow as I was now shoving a piece of orange chicken in my mouth.
"Who might you be getting married to?"
Colby asked. I rolled my eyes, then got up and went to the kitchen.
"Hey I'm going to get ready for my party okay? I'm meeting up Grace and some other friends for my bachelorette party. You have fun at yours!"
I said as I was getting done. Colby shook his head still watching tv.
"Bye love you!"
I said as I was grabbing my keys.
"Wait..!"
Colby yelled as he jumped over the couch to me. He came up and kissed me goodbye. I kissed him back a couple of times.
"Love you too."
I opened my eyes and saw his smile. He gave me a hug and then I left.

Grace:

Today is Leah's bachelorette party and I'm very excited. Then this week is her wedding and I'm so excited because I have to say a speech. Wait I have to prepare a speech! Oh geez. Don't worry Grace you'll be alright. Wait stop talking to yourself. I hop in my car and started to drive. I drive to B-Dubs because Leah wanted to eat there. I was okay with it so we all went and got everything situated. Soon everybody comes piling in. The other girls that's Leah had invited. Then everybody was here and they all started to order. Someone that she had invited ordered us all alcohol. When the waiter came back, Leah said she didn't want any. Something was off. Leah isn't a big drinker but she likes alcohol. She doesn't really refuse to drink it. She didn't seem exactly happy. She was smiling and all but I've known Leah since kindergarten, I know when somethings up.

*Food has been ordered*

"Hey why don't we go and play some games in the arcade room while the food is getting made?"
One of the girls said. We all shook our head and then headed off. I let the other girls go ahead of Leah and I. I had to talk to her.
"Okay...what's wrong?"
She looked at me quick.
"What do you mean?"
She said in a nervous tone.
"Leah I've known you for a very long time. I know when something is up. Talk to me."
There was a small pause of silence. We went and got into a video game where you have to sit and play.
"Okay. I'm just nervous for the wedding day. I've been thinking about it non-stop. I'm not necessarily scared about it's just I've never felt like this. I mean I really like Colby and yeah I wanna marry him. It's just a lot to take in."
As she said the last word she exhaled a big breath.
"I get ya. But dot be scared getting married to him. You guys will have a great wedding and live happily ever after!"
I said as I was laughing. We both burst into laughing.
"Thank you bro. I'm glad that I got you. Now umm I don't know if we are staying in Ohio yet."
Leah said trying to ease the tension. I stopped playing and said.
"What do you mean? You guys are moving back to California?"
I was kind of upset and sad. I mean it's their life they can do whatever they want. But I don't want to lose her. I already lost my parents after Jenny took me away from them.
"I don't know Grace. I was talking to Colby about that and we got into an argument over it. We both said that we would talk about it before the wedding. But if we move back to California, would you wanna come with us?"
I kinda got a little upset now.
"Leah I just can't decide that right here right now. I have Sam and I don't even know if he wants to live in Ohio or Cali. But I like it here and I think Sam does too. I've never been to Cali before so I really don't know what's there. It would be nice to go there but I love Sam. I wanna stay with him. But you know I'll always love you right?"
"Yeah I know and I totally understand that. But if we move come visit?"
I smiled and then shook my head. We ended up losing the game. After all of that talking our food was done. We went over and talked and ate our food. The night was almost ending and Leah had no alcohol. We said our goodbyes to everyone and left.
"Hey Grace? Could you come over and have a drink with me? It's just wine."
I nodded and I followed Leah to their apartment. We got in and saw the boys sitting on the couch.

Colby:

I called Sam because it was my bachelor party tonight.
"Hey wazzup bro?"
"Wazzup man. Hey tonight is my bachelor party. Wanna come over?"
"Heck yeah! Be there in 10."
I hung up. I went to the store to get some things before he came over. I got in my car and drove to Walmart. Walmart was like 5 minutes away. I got inside and went quick. Sam was going to be at my house anytime now. I got some beer, some chips, bacon, lettuce, tomatoes and mayo and bread. I was really craving a BLT without the tomato. I checked out and drove back home. I got out and there was Sam sitting in the outside of my door.
"I'm sorry bro. I had to run to the store to get some food and drinks for you and me."
"It's all good. Now we have some food. That's the only reason why I came."
I punched him in the arm. I unlocked the door and set everything on the table. I turned the Xbox one on while Sam was digging through the bags to get something to eat. I throw a pillow at him.
"What!"
"Dude seriously? Make me a BLT please!"
He rolled his eyes. We came over with two plates. One for him and one for me.
"Thank you bro."
He grabbed us beers as well. I put Mario cart in and we played. I lost them he lost them I lost. And I think you know how this goes. We were sitting on the couch when we heard the door open. It was Leah and Grace.
"Hey Leah!"
"Hey Sam. Colby."
She said looking at both of us. She grabbed a bottle of wine and went to our bedroom. 
"Wanna spend the night?"
I asked Sam.
"No I shouldn't. I'll get Grace and then leave you two lovebirds alone."
Sam goes in there and gets Grace and leaves. I go into the bedroom. I find Leah passed out and an empty bottle of wine. I'm pretty tired myself so I jump in bed and fall asleep.
