Chapter 42

Corey:

As soon as we left there was a major traffic block. I started to get mad and I wanted to see Leah and see how she is. But I stayed calm and got I through before I even knew it. As we were passing the wreck I looked to see what had happened. It was a white van like one of those sketchy ones. And it had about 4 people who were getting help. I noticed something. No it can't be. I rubbed my eyes and blinked and couldn't tell myself to believe it. Katy saw it too and her mouth was in a big oval and she was starting to cry. We drove by quickly to the hospital and didn't talk until we got there. We both got out of the car and it was awkward to talk after what we saw. Katy came over to me and hugged me tightly. She started to cry and cry and I stroked her hair to calm her down. She dried her eyes and we walked inside.

Leah:

I woke up in Colby's arms. I saw that he was still asleep. I kissed his forehead and he soon woke up. He looked around like he was puzzled and then kissed me back. "Morning sleepy head?" I kissed him again and looked around and it wasn't even morning. It's was like 1 o'clock in the morning. Colby got up to get something to eat. I looked around and saw Grace sleeping in the chair. I looked around some more and saw all of the machines hooked up to me. When I looked over back to Grace and she was looking at me and smiled. "I'm so sorry," she said as she was crying. She came over and sat on the bed. "Why are you sorry? You didn't do anything?" She shocked her head and looked down away from me and then back up at me. "Yes....yes it is, I'm the one who got you in Ohio. I'm the one who let Jenny get you. I'm the one why you're in the hospital." She cried more and more. "Hey, stop. It wasn't you're fault. It would've happened anyway. And I'm glad this happened because if it didn't I would've known you were alive and I would've never ever met you." I said with a soft face.  She came over to me and gave me a hug. I hugged her back even though I was in pain. "Hey once I'm outta here we are going to go to California and we are gonna get you a house near me and hang out a lot. Or if you wanna stay here in Ohio I get it. But if you stay here, we are going to hang out." She hugged me some more. We soon broke apart because Colby came walking in with food. "Did I interrupt something?" He said with an awkward face. "No you didn't." I smiled and Grace went over to the chair and Colby had gotten her food and she was hungry and scarfed it down quickly. I couldn't eat anything that Colby had brought because I had to eat special food because if my surgery and the bullet that was in my stomach. Colby felt bad but I smiled at him.

Sam:

The traffic jam was letting up and I was so happy. I drove by and saw the accident. Oh my gosh?!? No, it can't be?? I was thinking to myself. I drove by fast and headed to the hospital. A million things are going through my mind. I knew I just had to get to the hospital to talk to Corey and Katy about that.

*30 minutes later*

I got there at the same time Corey and Katy were there. I ran up to them and said "Hey? Can I talk to you guys?" They both looked at each other and nodded. "You saw back there right? The accident?" Katy put her hand over her mouth. Corey hugged her and poked back to me "We can't tell Leah or Grace." I didn't want to but I felt bad not telling Grace. "Well what about Colby?" We have to tell Colby. "We can but he'll be around Leah a lot and he may be prone to telling Leah. Sam you can't tell Grace, okay?" I nodded. We all went inside. We saw Leah there in the bed and talking to a nurse. She smiled and we entered. "Hey guys. Glad to see ya!......what wrong?" We all changed our faces. "No, everything's good. How are you?" Corey said
