Chapter 33

(Halloween Edition)

Leah:

Today is Halloween!!! My dads favorite holiday. This makes me sad but that morning I made pancakes for Colby and I and then we got decorations and went to the hospital. Colby drove because I was super tired. We got there really early in the morning and I was tired. But we brought everything we could find and decorated his room. He still couldn't talk or open his eyes and he was on oxygen. But I'm still glad for when we does wake up he can see his room. I kissed his forehead and we left because we had to get some things. Colby drove to Walmart because we needed to get some food for this week. "Okay, what do you want to eat?" I looked over to Colby with a tired look. "Baby..I'll eat whatever." I smiled and then hugged him because he's too perfect. So we got whales,oreos,meat and some drinks. Yeah I know junk food mostly. I paid and then we left to go to my mom and dad's house. My mom didn't come home last night because she is staying at a hotel near the hospital than our house. We got home and unpacked all of the things we had bought. We spent the whole time at my house until like 5:30 and we decided to see my dad and then go trick or treating. But Colbys friend,Sam Golback? Actually said he was in Ohio and wanted to know if he could ahng out with us. I said it was okay. We headed to the hospital and as we were walking in to my dads room, I saw a human figure slouched over my dad. I can tell it's a girl by the figure of her body. She stood up and her hair was so long and blonde with brown dyed hair under. There was a little light in the room and she was about as tall as me. She turned around and saw me. I was so scared because I didn't know who she was. She came more into the light and then I saw her. I knew exactly who it was. Her eyes were big and soft shaped,her skin looked smooth and her face had freckles and I realized how many times we would laugh and I remembered that smile any day. She smiled and I knew exactly who she is. I started to cry and I trembled and said "Grace?" She ran over to me and gave me a tight and big hug and I didn't want to let go. Then we both began to cry and I remembered so many memories we shared together and how many times I missed her. (I don't know if in the story I said how long I lived in LA but I'm saying right now I've been living there for 2 years. In the story, not real life.)

Grace:

I had came to the hospital near where Leah used to live and visited her father. I found out the room he was in and went there. I slowly crept in because I didn't want to see how he looked. But I eventually came in and saw him. I began to cry because I didn't like how he looked. I went over to him and whispered to him "Come on! You can't leave Leah or your wife. You've got to fight! Leah needs you to be there for her when she gets married. And her children need a grandpa. So please fight not only for your wife but for Leah and her future." I started to cry because he is like my own father to me, but not. He like my second father whose been there for me and whose also let me come over whenever. I stayed there for a little bit longer and prayed. Then I heard footsteps, it must just be a nurse. I got up and turned around to leave when I saw her. Oh my gosh!! Her aubrun hair that glowed in the light, her freckles that have popped out more, her tallness and how much she's grown. I started to cry and she ran over to me and said "Grace?" She hugged me and we both began crying. I hugged her so tight because I was afraid of losing her again. And I don't want to loose her. We hugged for another like 2-4 minutes and then we liked at each other. Leah looked at me with astonishment and told me "You are hanging out with us no matter what. Okay?" I couldn't say no. Leah has this thing where she's like 'blah blah no matter what,okay?' And for some reason you just can't so no, believe me I've tried. But I just can't say no. I nodded and I saw a man by her side. I gestured to him.

Colby:

When Leah and Grace reunited I had imagined her differently. Then I heard her gesturing to me and I decided to introduce myself. "Hi, I'm Colby Brock. Leah's boyfriend." She looked surprised. "Well? Hi, I'm...." I finished her sentence "Grace, Leah talks about you all the time." She liked over at Leah who was by my side now. I had my arm down by my leg and hers was down by her leg too. So I just interlaced my fingers with hers. "So...? Um..Sam is waiting for us at the Tavern. We should get going if we want to go trick or treating." Leah looked up at me and was happy. "Whoa,whoa,whoa?? I thought you said that we were hanging out tonight?" Leah liked confused and then remembered "Oh yeah! We are trick or treating with one of Colby's best friends. His name is Sam. And be nice to him." As Leah was saying to Grace. Grace rode with me and Leah.
