Chapter 48

Colby:

I was freaking out because I didn't know what to say. I had to tell Leah of course but then Corey said I couldn't. I had to keep a big secret from the person who I loved to most besides Sam. I acted so weirdly around Leah as soon as we got into the house. She looked so concern, she asked me "Hey everything okay?" I stared at her and didn't say a word. I just shook my head and smiled. She came up and gave me a big hug. I was hurting so bad because I couldn't tell Leah about Jenny. I had to act normal for as long as I could. I didn't know how much longer I could go on without telling her about Jenny. I had to tell her but couldn't. We ordered pizza and Chinese because we were all super hungry. Sam went down and helped me set everything up. "Bro, how are you doing?" Sam asked in a questionable tone. I thought about it for a little bit and then smiled "Yeah, I'm doing good. I'm still thinking about this and what just happened." I went upstairs to get all of the drinks and bring them downstairs. I went down and saw Sam sitting on the couch with his head resting on his hands. I set the drinks down and went over to him and wanted to know what was wrong. "Hey, what's wrong?" I asked as he looked at me confused. "I don't know. Honestly, I just miss Grace. Sorry if I sound like a big baby, but I just really miss her." I went over to him and put my arm around him. "You're not a baby. I get it, if Leah broke up with me I would be in the same state as you, maybe worse. Grace just needs time to figure you out and see who you really are." He smiled and then said "Thanks, bro."

Leah:

I was upstairs while Sam and Colby were downstairs and while Corey and Katy were on the couch watching tv. I haven't seen Grace since the party and I'm getting worried about her. I went upstairs and found her on her bed crying. I opened the door and she perked up at me really quick. I was worried as ever because I don't like Grace crying, especially by herself. I asked her "What's wrong?? Why are you crying!??" I was so worried about her. She wiped her eyes and as she did the mascara came with her hands. "Nothing, I swear." I knew she was lying by the look on her face. "Grace after we've been friends since we were 5. You can't lie to me." Her head dropped down again and she started to cry. "I broke up with Sam." My mouth dropped into the biggest O I could make. I rushed over to her and sat with her. I hugged her and told her it's okay. When it really isn't. "Oh, honey. Why did you do?" I asked in a concerned tone. "Because....because I couldn't trust him. After all, I've been through with trusting Jenny and then realizing all she wanted to do was kill you...." she started to cry even more. "I just couldn't trust anyone again. I don't know Sam that well only half of him. I want to know him so then I can't trust him." I thought about this for a moment and then said: "Do you trust Colby?" She looked up from hugging me and then said "Yeah. Only because he's dating you." I was kinda upset and not because she's going through something like this without me and I feel bad and upset because we've pretty much been through everything. I'm not upset because I get it that she wants to be by herself in this because she's upset and sad and people usually want to be left alone. "Oh Grace, it's okay." I held her and stroked her hair and she was crying. "Grace no matter what I'll be with you through everything. Okay? Just tell me if you wanna be left alone or not." She shook her head and then said "Can I be left alone for a bit? Please?" I shook my head and then smiled. I left and went back downstairs. As I was going downstairs I was running everything that just happened in my head and then smiled. I was so glad that she met me and I'm so glad that I met her.
