Chapter 22

Katy:

I woke up the next morning with someone banging on my door. I was so scared, so I grabbed my baseball bat and tiptoed to the door. Looked out the peep hole and saw Corey. I let the bat drop and sighed in relief. I opened the door and Corey's smile went down slowly when we saw the bat. "Um...... What did I do now?" I gave him the death stare and turned around and started walking back into my apartment and talked. "You didn't do anything! I just didn't know who you were?" He came in and I heard the door shut and he was walking and went over to my coach and put his feet on and got on his phone. I looked over at him with my eyebrow raised up and said "Oh please make yourself comfy." He looked up at me and with a serious face, he said "Oh okay thank you, I will." Then he moved until he was comfy. I sighed and smiled at him "I was joking!" He looked back at me and said "Oh okay, I wasn't." He smiled and went back to his phone. I went to the shower and as I was going to my bedroom I heard my phone ringing. "Hello?" I heard someone in the background crying "Hey Katy. Its Leah. Um...?" I was worried because she sounded scared and upset. "Is everything alright? Are you okay?" She answered very quick "Yeah, yeah everything alright. Kind of. Um...okay I called you to ask you, you remember Grace right?" I was confused "Yeah what about her?" Leah was hesitating for a moment. "Well I found out that my mom and dad hired a private bodyguard and dective for me and he called me..." I was so curious to know what was going on. "Leah, what's going on?" She started to crying and I could hear Colby saying that everythings alright and I heard sniffles. "Grace...Grace is alive!" I went into instant shock and dropped my phone. Corey must of heard me because he came running in "Babe!! Are you okay?" He came over and put his arms around me. I started to cry so bad. I bent down and pick up the phone. "Leah? I'm going to call you back." I hung up right there. Corey looked at me and his face was so worried about me. "Babe? What's wrong? Please tell me what's wrong?! I'm really worried about you!?" I looked at him and tried to speak "Gr..Gr...Grace! She's alive!"

Corey:

Once Katy said that I knew she wasn't in a good state right now. "Baby, I'm so sorry." She just kept crying and crying and I pulled her over towards me and we sat down on the bed. I just kept hugging her tightly and telling her its alright. I stroked her hair so then she would calm down. She started to calm down and her breathing slowed down. I tried asking if she wanted to go out and get something to eat because she hasn't eaten anything all day today. And I was worried about her because not trying to be mean but she loves food and she would never pass up a time to get food. So I did the next best thing, I ordered us salads and I made spaghetti with no sauce because she doesn't like the sauce on it.
*10 minutes later*
I heard someone knock and I got up quick because it was the delivery guy. I paid him and went back into Katy's room where she was still sitting in her room. "Babe....? I ordered salads and I made spaghetti." She looked over at me and didn't say anything, she just shook her head. "Babe.... If you don't eat you will starve. And I don't want you to starve." She just sat there with no emotions. "Please babe, if you don't eat, I can't. It hurts me so bad to see you like this. Please eat?!"

Katy:

Once I heard that Grace was alive, everything in my body just shut down and I didn't know what to do. I'm so glad I'm dating Corey, because if I wasn't I wouldn't be able to get through with this. A couple minutes later he ordered me food and made me spaghetti. I hated myself because of how much pain I'm causing Corey seeing me like this and him trying to help and fix me but I'm not letting anyone in. I had to stop this, I can't go on in life where I get bad or shocking news and just shut down. Corey came walking in my room, with a worried face and said "Please babe, if you don't eat, I can't. It hurts me so bad seeing you like this. Please eat?!" I looked at him and got up and smiled. "Babe, I'm so sorry I hurt you and sorry for being a total drama queen. But thank you so much for being there for me even though I'm a pain in the butt. I love you so much!" Corey came walking over towards me, not saying a single word "Katy...you need to know that I care about you a lot and I don't want to see you like this. Its alright, I understand why you are acting like this. I love you too!!" He came over and hugged me and looked me in the eye. He held me so that I could kiss him. He stopped and looked me in the eye and then slowly smiled. He said in the softest whisper "Let's go eat?" He looked and me with his beautiful brown eyes. I bit my lip and looked up at him and said in whisper as well "I'm down for that."
