Chapter 49

Grace:

After Leah left I didn't cry anymore. I just felt empty like nothing happened. I thought over everything about Sam and what me and Leah talked about. I was thinking over it and I realized that maybe I was stupid of not being with him. But then yet again I wasn't being stupid because I can't trust him. I just laid in my bed and started up at the ceiling. There's something inside of me saying that I should trust him but then yet again I can't. And there's this aching pain inside my chest like I can't breathe well. Then I realized when we were at that building saving Leah I was knocked out inside the building and then I woke up outside. Sam wouldn't of done that,right? It must've been Corey or Colby because Sam just met me and he wouldn't of done that. I got in my phone and then text Leah and asked her to come upstairs.

*A minute later*

I heard a knocked on the door. "Come in." She slowly opened it and looked around until she saw me. "What's Up?" I smiled and then look puzzled. "Hey you remember when you were at the building with Jenny?" I was trying to say it without making her remember the bad memories. "Yeah,what bout it?" She looked upset. "Well when I was knocked out I was in the building and then when I woke up I was outside. Umm how did I get out there?" She turned from upset to her thinking mode and face. "Umm Sam carried you out and he was actually the one who was yelling your name because you disappeared. You were his number one priority at that moment." My heart just shattered and my mouth dropped so big. My vision was becoming blurry like rain coming down on a car window. I felt a tear running down my cheek. "Why what's wrong?" She came rushing over to me and was concerned. "I never knew that Sam carried me?!" She arched an eyebrow and then said "Well who else would've carried you? Colby?" She kinda grinned and then her grin slowly faded away. I felt bad now because nobody told me and I couldn't thank him for saving me. I felt hopeless because I couldn't get myself out of there. Then I said "I need you to ask Colby a favor." She raised her eyebrow and then said "Okay? What's the favor?"

Sam:

We were watching an amazing movie but I couldn't focus. All I could focus was what am I going to do for Grace to trust me. I was then distracted by Leah getting up and the going upstairs. About a couple minutes later Colby got a text from Leah, I don't know what the text read. Colby looked at me and then to his phone. "Hey Sam?" He has a fake smile plastered ok his face. "What's up?" I said with a concerned tone. "You wanna know how to get Grace to trust you?" I then I was intrigued by what he was starting to say. "I'm listening?" He cleared his throat and then said "Ask Grace on a date and then just talk to her. Like tell her a lot of things about you." My eyes were bigger than my head. I thought about it and then said "You know what? You're right!" He smiled and then went back to watching the movie and eating popcorn.

*2 and a half hours later*

I said goodbye and goodnight to everybody. I was about to head out but then I remember what Colby has told me. I went upstairs and as I landed on each stair I was so delicate about it so then she wouldn't hear me. I got to Graces room and took one big breath in and got my courage up and knocked in the door. I heard her feet smacking against the floor as she was waking to the door. She opened it and then said "Oh hey what's up?" She said with a sad tone. I rose my head from being down to up. "Well Grace I get it that you want to know everything about me and I want you to trust me. But will you got out to eat with me Friday?" Her eyes grew big and then smiled. "Yes, I would love to!" She said in a exciting tone. "I'll pick you up at 7:30 pm. Okay?" She shook her head and then she said "Okay. Night!" I loved it when she sounded so excited. I was walking away and then said "Night." I then skipped a few more steps as I was almost done. I can't wait for tomorrow!!
