Different Lives, Different Events

Chapter 41

Leah:

After all of the nurses have left Colby's comes back in. His face turns from worry to kind in a snap. He came over to my side of my bed where the chair was. He pulled the chair closer to my bed and held his hand in mine. It felt so good to see him, his ocean blue bright eyes, his brown hair dangling from his forehead. We both just stared at each other for a while and he started to tear up. I lifted my hand to his face and wiped away his tear with my thumb. His face fell into my hand and he held his face there and cupped his other hand around mine. I was lookin at him and then cleared my throat "You got a hair cut?" He started to cry even more and laughed. He looked down laughing and then looked back at me with tears running down his face "Yeah....yeah I did." He stared at me for a little bit more and then said "God Leah......I missed you. I thought I was going to loose you." Then I started to cry and he took his hand to my face and wiped away my tears. He stood up and sat at the foot of the bed. I then scooted over and he laid right next to me. I wrapped my arms around him and cried. "Hey it's okay, I'm here now. I'm here." He was stroking my hair and I gripped my arms around him tighter.

Colby:

I was laying on the hospital bed with Leah and she had fallen asleep. They still set here yet. I got my phone out without waking Leah. I successfully got it and text Corey. "Hey where you at? Leah's asleep for be quiet when you come here." I then text Sam "Hey bro are you coming? It's fine you don't have to. If you do come be quiet, she's asleep." I heard somebody walking in and it was Grace. I quickly pulled a finger to my mouth telling her to be quiet. She slowly stopped and tiptoed to the seat I was sitting in. But scooted it back, a lot. My phone buzzed and looked at it, it was for Corey "Yeah sorry bro. There was a major wreck and we are stuck in the traffic." I then text back "Hey it's okay. Don't rush, I want you to be safe." I push the power button down gently and it went off again. It was from Sam "Hey yeah sorry bro. A major traffic blockage, don't know what happened." I text back "It's okay. Corey and Katy are in the same thing. Dot rush, I want you to safe. Don't worry she's asleep. Grace is here already." I push the power button again and I hugged Leah. My eyelids were becoming really heavy. I tried to stay away but fell asleep.

Grace:

I walked in and saw Colby laying with Leah. And  Colby's mouth went into a small o and was telling me to be quiet. I revised and tiptoed over to a chair but scooted it back. I heard Colby's phone going off and he was texting back people. And then he shut his phone off and laid back down. I was jealous of Colby and Leah a little bit. I was also very sad because,Leah looked so happy without me and what if I had never contacted her? She wouldn't be in the hospital and she would of never met Jenny. I started to feel like a terrible friend. But I remembered what Leah would say "It would've happened anyway. And I'm glad it did because if it didn't I wouldn't have an adventure." Then I started to tell myself that I'm glad I met her. But not glad about the whole Jenny thing. I was super tired but I had to stay awake. I propped my head up and my hand with my elbow on the chairs arm. I curled up on the chair and got comfy. (In real life Grace couldn't do that. And she is almost as tall as me and I'm 5'10. But in the story Colby and Sam are taller than us.) I felt droopy and my head started to bob until eventually I fell asleep.
