Chapter 50

"I don't need you anymore!"

Sam:

Today is the day that I have the date with Grace. I am so excited and yet I am really terrified because I wanted her to trust me. I was getting ready and looked at myself in the mirror and thought, I look pretty good. I was worried that Grace wouldn't like the place we are going to. I just hope she likes it. I was about to head out to pick her up and I almost forgot my phone. I ran back in and grabbed it and saw that Colby had tried to call me. I called him back "Hello?" He said in a concerned tone. "Hey man, umm have you left yet?" I was confused and then said "No why?" he let out a big sigh and then said, "Okay just stay there I'm on my way." He hung up and then I looked at my phone where Colby's face was on his contact. A couple minutes later I heard knocks on the door. I opened it and he walked right past me. "Okay? What's going on?" I turned to him and he was huffing and puffing like he just ran here to tell me something. "Okay, um don't take Grace anywhere fancy, like really fancy." I looked at myself and I was wearing a short sleeve shirt and jeans with my converse. "This is fancy?" Colby stopped and looked at me and said: "I guess not." I laughed and then said, "So why did you come out here in the first place?" He looked around and then said, "Oh, that's really why I came here in the first place." We both laughed. "Besides I'm taking her to a diner and then after that a surprise." I raised an eyebrow. Colby smiled and then left. Now it was time to go and pick her up. I had butterflies in my stomach and I was so nervous because I hope Grace will understand everything after this date.

*15 minutes later*

Grace:

I was so excited for the date that Sam was planning. I was so happy to see him and after what Leah said and after Colby said about Sam I felt safer around him and more everything around him before I had met him. I'm just excited for what Sam has planned because I want to date with him but I just don't know if I trust him yet. But I think that I can after tonight because I have a good feeling about tonight. It's almost time before he comes and picks me up. I feel like I'm getting cold feet and I want to go and I also don't want to. So I start to pace around in my room until I hear the pitter patter of feet running up the wooden stairs. "Well, who's ready to get the dating game on....?" As she was trailing off because she saw me pacing my room. She looked concerned and then I said: "Why am I acting like this over a date?" She smiled and then laughed. She began to walk over to me and she made me sit down on my bed. "Okay, this was how I was on my first date. You need to relax, be yourself. If you be yourself then you will win his heart. I've heard so many things from Colby what Sam thinks about you. He thinks you're really nice, beautiful and smart. He thinks about you so good and it makes me smile because I can't believe that my Grace is in LOVEEEEE." As she finished that sentence she tackled me and we were both laughing. "But seriously just be yourself and he will love it." She said with a smile. We then were interrupted by the sound of Leah's doorbell. I start to freak out and then Leah grabs me by the shoulders. She looks at me with her shiny hazel eyes and then she says "You'll be fine. Just be yourself and have a great time." She went out of my room skipping and was going downstairs to open the door up. I hear her and Sam talking downstairs and my heart starts to beat faster. I get my shoes on and look myself in the mirror and head down.

Sam:

I got to Leah's house and rang he doorbell. I was greeted by Leah and she had a big smile on. "Hey!" She said with the most exciting voice. "Hey what's up? Is Grace around?" She smiled and then said "Come on in. She'll be down in a couple of minutes." We talked for a while until Grace came downstairs. She was wearing a maroon crop top with ripped jeans and black vans. She looked so beautiful and with her hair down she looked even more beautiful. As she was coming down the stairs she gave me a big smile. When she came over to me and looked me in the eyes. We just stood there for a couple of seconds and then Leah started to talk. "Okay lovebirds get in out of here and have a great time." She said as she was pushing us out. I went over and opened the car door for Grace. She got in and smiled and I closed the door and ran over to my side and started the car. "Ready for this to begin?" I said with a smile and then she nodded.
