Chapter 31

Grace:

I woke up to my phone going off like crazy "Hello?!" My voice sounded like I just woke up!! Oh wait I did!!! "Sorry,did I wake you up? By the way it's Jay." I moaned and then answered "Yes you woke me up!! This better be good!" He was mumbling and then we let out a deep breath. "Its about um....Leah's father."

Grace:

I was shocked and sad and a little furious. "What?!?!! What happened?!" I wonder if Leah knew? "Well since he has been smoking...he got cancer." I was baffled because I never thought this would happen. "Okay thank you so much Jay. Take the day off." I felt depressed because Leah's father had been like a second dad to me. "What really?! Okay thanks!" I had to call Leah.

Leah:

We were about to leave the hotel room when I got a call from Grace. "Oh hey Grace, what's up!?" She sounded really anxious to answer my question "Um..how's you father doing?" That's weird I never thought she would ask about my dad? "Um..I don't know. I'm actually on my way to see my parents at their house." She let out a big sigh. "Grace? What's wrong?!' She let out another big sigh. "Leah your father has cancer and is in the hospital." I just froze right there and couldn't speak but let out a little tear. "Okay thank you for telling me." I hung up and cried and cried. My knees buckeled and I fell. Colby came running over to me and was asking what's wrong. "Baby?....what's wrong?" I looked at him and told him "My dad is in the hospital...he has cancer."

We rushed into Colby's rental car. We drove to the local hospital near where my mom and dad live. We got to the hospital and asked the nurse who was sitting at the counter ( the reason I put XX is because I don't want anybody to know their name.) "Hello I'm XX's daughter! Do you know what room he is in?" The nurse looked up and told me " Room 212." I said thank you and left. We got to room 212 and its been forever since I had seen my parents. I walked in and seen my mom holding my dads hand. She looked up and her mouth opened like really big. "Leah?" I ran over to her and gave her a huge hug. "Mom? I'm so sorry I left! I'm so sorry!" She held me tight and patted my head and telling me she understands why I left. I went over to my dad and held his hand. I started to cry and I felt someone grab my hand. I knew it was Colby's because his hands are really soft and warm. The hand holding soon turned into a hug and I cried. Colby was taller than me, so I rest my head on his chest. When I was done crying my mom asked me "Um? Who is this?" I suddenly forgot about introducing Colby to my mom. Colbys arm went straight out in front of me "I got this. I'm Colby Brock. I'm Leah's boyfriend." My mom looked surprised. "What?" She said "Oh nothing. I'm just glad that you have a man in your life now." After we talked about everything, I looked back at my dad. Colby was right there and I hugged him and he hugged me back. Then I remembered I should probably call Corey and Katy. "I'll be right back." I stepped out of the room and called Katy.

Katy:

As we were getting into the car to go get something to eat, Leah was calling me. "Hello?" Her breathing was fast and unsteady. "Um...how did you guys sleep?" I was upset because she wasn't getting to the point. "We slept fine. Are you okay?" I heard her sigh "Yeah we are okay...actually we aren't. My dad is in the hospital because he has cancer." I heard her crying. Then I started to cry as well. "Okay we will be there in a little bit." Corey looked at me and liked scared. "We need to go to the hospital right now. Leah's dad has cancer." Corey started the car and he drove straight to the hospital. We asked the nurse where he was at and we straight up there. As we got off the elevator we saw Leah and Colby out in the hallway hugging each other. Leah was crying so bad. I ran right up to Leah. She heard my feet clattering as I ran. She then broke away from Colby and hugged me. We all walked in and everyone got reunited. "Ahh..Corey! How have you been?" I was shocked because Leah's mom knew who Corey was. "I've been good! How about you?" They talked for like ever.

*6 hours later*

Leah:
"Corey Katy you both look tired. Go back to the hotel and get some rest. Please that would mean the whole world to me." They both looked at each other and agreed. They both hugged me and then my mom. We all said bye and then they were gone. "Leah you need to go home to our house. Please! Just stay there and you can come back tomorrow morning." My mothers eyes looked hurt and sincere. I couldn't say no or else it would make her upset and she doesn't need any of that right now. "Okay. Call me if anything happens." I gave my mom and hug. Then gave Colby a hug "Anyone of Leah's is family." I went over to my dad and have him a kiss on the forehead and told him 'I love you'. Then we left.

Colby:

We left the hospital and as we were walking out I went over to Leah and have her a hug. "Its okay. I'm here for you." She hugged me back and then said "I'm going to drive because you don't know where I used to live. Okay?" I shook my head because I wasn't going to fight with her today. I gave her the keys.

*30 minutes later*

"We're here!" Her faced looked a little bit more happy. Her house was huge and I know why now she has such a big house in LA. We walked over to the front door. The lock clicked and we were in. The lights were off and she turned them on and right in the front were a flight of stairs. We went to the kitchen and she asked me "Are you hungry? I can make you something?" I said "Yeah I'm a little." She went to the pantry with all of the snacks and chips and she got the chips and salsa and sour cream. We went to the living room and the TV was up on the wall and there was a couch there and it looked comfy. We sat on it and we ate chips and salsa and sour cream. She turned on the TV until it was 11. She put away eveything and shut off all the lights downstairs. We went up the stairs and went into a bedroom. The room was bright orange with a queen sized bed,a mink cooler,a TV, a huge closet and a huge vanity set. We went over to her bed and we got under the cover. Before coming to the house we went back to the hotel and got our stuff and checked out. Leah went into her closet and picked out a pair of pajamas. She had a dog bed for Alastair. She came out with shorts and a different shirt. She got into bed and grabbed a remote and shut off the lights. I then crawled in bed with her and put my arm around her waist. She turned over and looked at me with the TV light on. I saw a tear come out. I was laying on my back and she hugged me and cried. I hugged her and stroked her head and calmed her. We both fell asleep with the TV on.

Hope you guys liked this chapter!! I'm sorry if this one was sad but its not true. My dad doesn't have cancer. But he does smoke and I'm afraid he will. But anyways until Friday. Because my mom's birthday is Monday and we are doing something for her. But please keep checking in because I might write and publish one once I'm a while. But until next time byeeeee!!!
