Chapter 19

Leah:

Its been 4 days after I got of the hospital. And Colby moved in with me and has been taking care of me while I've been recovering. I woke up with Alastair next to me. With his cute puppy eyes, his shiny silver, fluffy coat he has. "How is my favorite baby in the world doing today?!" As I was saying that Colby walked in and said "Well thanks for asking. I'm doing just fine, how are you?" We both laughed but I gave him...the death stare. "Haha, very funny. I was talking to Alastair. Why you up so early?" Colby just stood there in my doorway and leaned againist the door.

Colby:

I was downstairs making Leah breakfast before she woke up. She has been put on bed rest for a couple of weeks until she is fully healed. I went upstairs to check if she was awake and was talking to Alastair "How is my favorite baby in the world doing today?!" As I was approaching her door I answered "Well thanks for asking, I'm doing fine thanks, how are you?!" I loved it when she smile's and laugh's. She quickly answered "Haha very funny, I was talking to Alastair. Why you up so early?" She had a very confused look on her face. I smiled and started to talk "Well I figured that you would be hungry and I thought I could be a really nice boyfriend and make you breakfast in bed." As I was saying that I looked down at my shoes and looked back at her. Her face was so red and she was blushing really hard. She laid back down and covered up her face.I came over and got on top of her. I slowly removed the blanket from her face. She was looking at me right in the eye. "Did I ever tell you how gorgeous you are?" We didn't say anything and then we both burst into laughter filling up the room. "Has anyone ever told you, you have the most...cheesiest pick up line ever?" I felt really offended and raised one eyebrow. "Wow, that's the first anyone has ever told me that. You know that really hurt my feelings." I made a pouty face and she just smiled. To break the mood she had to say "So what's for breakfast?" I closed my eyes and let my bead drop and hang. "You really do know how to break the mood, don't ya? Well what will the princess want for her royal breakfast?" I got up and bowed. She thought about it for a minute and said "Oh, so know my nickname is princess. Your finest pancakes with an order of bacon and orange juice." I curtseyed before leaving and turned back and said "As you request, your royal highness." We both laughed and I headed downstairs.

Leah:

After Colby left my room, I got a phone call. "Hello?" I didn't hear a lot of background noises "Yes, hello. Is this Miss Leah Wolford, I am speaking to?" I was so confused but answered "Depends on who wants to know?"  The voice was very deep, I was kind of scared because I didnt know who this person was. "Yes hello. I am Jay, a secret detective. I have some very important news . First of all your parents at happy and living. Your friend Zoie is in a happy relationship with the guy named Devan Key. Okay that's whats happening back in Ohio. Second, the crash you had. We think it was on purpose because we looked at the camera of the street light you were stopped at. As soon as your car flipped, a man got out of the semi and crouched down and said something to you." I was still so confused and I didn't know what to say "Okay let me get this straight. You are my personal secret detective and patrol. And you know everything about me. And you are trying to tell me that my crash wasn't an accident?" I heard him mumbling in the back and said "Um....Yeah that's pretty much what I'm trying to tell you." My eyes grew big and I didn't know what to say because I've never had calls like this. "Okay so hold up. Why are you my secret detective? Who hired you?" He sighed and told me "Your father wanted me to watch after you because he wanted to make sure you were alright. So your mother and father wanted someone highly skilled and qualified for the job. So they chose me." I was in shock because my parents hired a full time bodyguard and detective for me. "Okay tell me more about the crash tomorrow, please. I'm just really tired. Anything else I need to know?" He was humming and trying to think of something else he wanted to tell me. "Oh actually. There is something, do you know Grace Kline?" I was shocked because that's my best friend that I got into the car accident with. "Um, yes why?" He sounded like he hesitated for a little. "Well, um... She's alive."
