Chapter 43

Leah:

A doctor came into the room and talked to us about my recovery. "She's doing an amazing job on recovering. You can go home today only if you feel like it." My face turned from boredom to happiness "Yes!! I would love to go home!" He smiled and shook his head up and down. "Okay, I'll go and get you a pamphlet about what to do to the wound. Then I'll get you your release papers and you can go home." I smiled at him and said "Sounds good." When the doctor left I looked over at Colby and gave him a hug. Everybody else gave me a hug.

*30 minutes later*
"Okay you are free to go! Hope you recover soon and quick! Bye now!" I was in a wheelchair being pushed by Corey. "Well I'm glad I'm out of there." Everyone laughed. Colby pulled his car around. He got out and helped me into his car. I said by to everyone and we left to go to my house. Colby drove and Corey,Katy,Grace and Sam were behind us to go and help me get around. But I insisted for them to go home and get some rest. But they all said no. Time flew by so fast and by the time I blinked we were at my house. I got out on my own and my stomach hurt bad. Colby rushed over to my side and helped me. "Can you guys please get Leah's thing out of the car? I'll come back out and help you guys." Colby said as he was helping me into the house. The door was unlocked which was weird. Colby opened the door and there my mom was with my dad. They both smiled and then the smile slowly faded away into a more worried look. "Leah what happened?!" Colby put me down on the couch and left to go help everybody else. I told my mom everything about what happened and all she did was hug me. But then I yelped in pain and she quickly let go. I looked at dad and saw that he was home. And then I started to question. "Okay, why is dad home?" They both smiled and then looked at each other and then looked at me. "Well you father,um......" I was getting scared. Dad cut in and said "I got told that I didn't have cancer anymore!" I started to cry and then went as fast as I could and gave him a hug.

Colby:

We all had gotten done getting all of Leah's stuff together. We all headed inside. We opened the door and saw Leah hugging her dad and crying. "What happened? Everything okay?" Leah looked at me and said "My dad got told that he doesn't have cancer anymore!" I put her stuff down and rushed over to her. On my way to her and I hugged her mom. I don't know why but I felt like I was part of the fam. I went back over to Leah and hugged her. I shook her dads hand and smiled at him. Leah got and up and hugged me. I could tell she was tensing in pain and I let go. "Hey I know you're in pain. It's okay. Let's go upstairs and lay down." She nodded and we went upstairs. Everybody behind me carried up her stuff and as we got up there she collapsed in her bed. She scared me and I shook her a little bit. She wasn't answering and I was getting scared. "Leah? Are you okay?" Then I heard her breathing, she was sleeping. I covered her up and I turned around and walked toward everyone. I gave them a big hug and said "Thank you so much!" They all let go and said "Hey no prob. Call us when she's awake, I would mike to talk to her?" I nodded my head and realized something. Where's Grace? I rushed downstairs and ran outside. I saw Grace standing outside in the cold. "Grace?! Why are you outside? It's cold?" She just stood there and said "I can't go inside, Leah's parents think that I'm dead and I can't just come back into their lives." I came over to her and said "Hey, I don't really know her parents that well but I do know that they love you so much. Trust me." She was crying and then shook her head up and down. We walked inside together. "Hey Colby what's up?" Her dad was up and moving. "Umm there's something you should see." I walked in and Grace slowly walked in.

Grace:

I walked slowly in. I was so nervous, maybe they won't care about me?! I took that question and threw it away. They both looked at me with astonishment. "Grace?!" Leah's mom was crying. She ran up to me and gave me hug. I couldn't breathe but I didn't care. I hugged back. Her dad came next and said "Oh Grace!" He was crying too. I hugged them back and I felt so happy for once in 2 years. "Where have you been?! Oh my god!! You don't know how much I've missed you!" I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Leah's mom took my face and put it in her hands "Grace, you know that we love you right?" I gasped and then shook my head up and down and started to cry. "I love you guys too!"
