Different Lives, Different Events

Chapter 17

Katy:

Corey was driving us to Leah's house because we had to house sit and take care of her cute dog Alastair. He was the cutest thing in the world, and so fluffy. I was mad because Colby wasn't coming home with us. And I wanted to see Leah and see how she was doing. Corey looked at me and took my hand "Hey, I'm sure that Leah is fine. Remember she's a fighter." I looked at him and smiled but not big. We got to Leah's house and Alastair came running up to us. He wasn't there yesterday he was at Leah's friends house because she needed somebody to watch him while she was having us over. "Hi Alastair!! I missed you. How's my favorite puppy!?" I was talking to it like it was a little baby. I walked over and went up stairs. I went to the guest bedroom because that's where I sleep when I come over here.

Corey:

I drove because Katy was stressed and I didn't want her driving. We were about like 5 minutes away from Leah's house. I look over and Katy and I hate seeing her mad. It kinda kills me to see her not happy. I looked down at her hand and took it in mine. She looked down at our hands, the fingers tangle with each others. We arrived at Leah's house and Alastair came running towards us and was happy to see us. Katy went over to the stairs and went up them. She went to the guest bedroom and she was tired and she needed rest. And so did I. I wanted to talk to her about Leah. "Hey, tomorrow morning we will get up and go see her." She rolled over as she was laying down in bed. "I'm just so worried about her. I've never, ever seen Colby like this about anyone. And Leah may not live and if she doesn't live I don't know what I will do with myself." She started to cry and I came over to her and held her and stroked her hair. "Hey guess what? This is Leah we are talking about. She's tough and she won't die, I promise. She's not gonna leave us because who would have parties that we would be invited into." She started to laugh and she lifted her eyes and kissed my cheek. I looked down at her and kissed her forehead "Night. I love you." She turned her head as she was lying down and said "I love you too." And we both drifted off into a wonderful sleep.
