Chapter 44

(Christmas Special)
*Im so sorry that I'm late I was just super busy the day of Christmas*

Christmas Day

Grace:

I woke up in a bedroom I had never seen before. I frantically looked around to figure out where I was. But couldn't quite figure it out. So I got up from the bed I slept in and head for the door. I grabbed the doorknob and slowly turned it. Once I heard the clock I opened it slowly and as it went it creaked. I look down the hallway and saw it was dark but I could see there were stairs. I saw light coming from it and walked in the cold wooden floor with no socks. I reached the stairs and headed down slowly. I saw the Christmas tree all up and ready and presents under it. I was confused and then looked around some more. I saw the color of the wallpaper,it was blue. The color or Leah's house. I looked around some more and saw pictures of Leah and her family. Then I realized I was in Leah's house,I spelt in her guest bedroom. I went and got a glass of water to help me remember. I got a glass of water and heard the sound of the flooring creaking. I turned around quickly and saw Leah. "Jesus! You scared me!" She laughed and held her side where the bullet was. "Sorry I heard someone downstairs and wanted to know if I was just being crazy or I actually heard something." She laughed again "You should go back upstairs and sleep. You need rest because of your surgery!" She nodded her head and headed upstairs. I was soon behind her helping her up. "I got it from here. Thank you." I watched her walk back into her room and close the door. I headed back to my room and closed the door. I laid there in my bed thinking about what has happened in the last week. I looked at the ceiling and felt my eyelids becoming heavier by the second. They eventually closed.

Colby:

I was awoken by somebody crawling back in bed. It was Leah obviously. "Hey baby? What's wrong?" I said kind of worried. She jumped a bit and then smiled and said "I was checking in Grace. Go back to sleep." I smiled and curled up to her. I put my arm around her waist and she tended up. "I'm sorry." I felt bad because I don't want to hurt her. "It's okay. I need to get used to it. You can never hurt me. I love you." She turned towards me and kissed me. "I love you too." She turned her head back and scooted near me. I put my arm back around her waist gently. I am so scared of loosing her and hurting her.

*Morning*

The sun is blinding me awake. I cover my eyes and look around for Leah. I hear the speaker blasting all the way up. I get up and turn the doorknob. I open it and see Leah doing her makeup. "Jesus!" I scared her by accident. "Sorry I just didn't know where you were and I heard the music blaring." I smile and see her in her fuzzy pants and a tank top. "What's wrong with you Colby?" I snap out of it. "What? Can't I look at my amazing girlfriend?" She laughed and came over to me and came very close to my face. "Well I'm that case," she leaned in and kissed me. "Morning." I hugged her and kissed her back. She took my hand and we ran downstairs. "Merry Christmas!!"

Leah:

Me and Colby both plopped down in the couch. My mom was handing gifts out first. "Leah.....Dad.....Grace.....Colby!" Colby's face looked like he just saw a ghost. "What? It's a gift for you!" Colby smiled and then said "You didn't have to." My mom looked at him and said "Well I did. So suck it up." We all laughed and opened our gifts. "I'll be right back." Colby left and ran outside to my car.

*15 minutes later*

Colby comes back in with these gifts wrapped in delicate wrapping. "Ok I admit it. I got you all something too." Colby went around and gave everybody 3 gifts. "Oh you didn't have to." My mom says with a mocking face. We all laugh again. Everyone opens their gifts but me because Colby told me I'm last. "Okay Leah you're up!" I have 2 big gifts and 1 small gift. "Open the small one last." Colby says with a devilish grin. One of the big is a big soft bear. I hugged it and put it down. I opened the other big one. It's a big blanket of the beach with a beautiful sunset. I about broke down because it was so beautiful. "Okay the little one now!" Colby was rubbing his hands together like he was evil. I opened it and it was a bracelet. "Oh my god Colby!! It's so beautiful!! Thank you" I kissed him once more. "Glad you liked it." Colby said with his pearly whit teeth and the perfect smile. "Okay! Now that presents are done we can eat!" I looked to my mom and smiled. "I'm up for it!" We all got up and headed to the kitchen. I held Colby's hand on the way there. My mom goes all out when it comes to food. I got mashed potatoes,ham,biscuits,rice and some fruit. We all headed into the big living room downstairs in the basement. I turned in the Tv and turned on something to watch. Luckily there were lots of Christmas movies on. We watched a lot of them and then got bored and played pool,ping pong and bored games. Me and Grace were on a team and Colby and my dad were on a team. We played ping pong together.
After a long game, me and Grace finally won.

*Jump ahead to night*

We all went back upstairs and ate some more food and then we all sat around the fire and drank coco while watching movies. I got up and said "Well Merry Christmas! I'm going to bed." I went upstairs and Colby followed me.  I went into my room and turned my tv on. Colby jumped onto my bed and I soon laid down as well. I grabbed the blanket  that Colby had gotten me and we both covered up with it. "I love you Colby!" I said I'm a low voice and kissed me. "I love you too Leah!" And he kissed me again. "Night beautiful" I curled up to him and fell asleep quickly.
