Chapter 7.

Alvin's POV

 Sana hindi nga niya sabihin kay Arissa yung tungkol kay Pauline. But somehow, I trust Jacob's word. 

*flashback ; 8 hours ago*

There was no good in lying kaya sinabi ko na lang.

Jacob: "Sino si Pau? Janna thought she was the Pau you were referring to when you said 'I'll always love you, Pau'. Pasensya na sa kapatid ko. She loses her mind when it comes to you." 

Ako: "Pau was my ex-girlfriend. The one I had to leave to marry Arissa. I left her behind. Sana hindi makarating to kay Arissa. And about your sister, it's okay. Wala din ako sa katinuan."

Jacob: "Sorry din kung nasuntok kita. Spur of the moment. And don't worry, hindi ko sasabihin sa kanya. Besides, it's all over between you and that Pau girl, right?"
Ako: "Yeah, it's over. Thank you."

Jacob: "But it doesn't mean na I'm giving up on Arissa. I know this sounds wrong but.. this is how it is already. and there's no turning back."
Ako: "I know what you mean. Just don't take it overboard, she is still my wife. Let's leave the decision to her. it's her heart anyways. "

Jacob: *offering a hand* So, may the best man win.
Ako: *accepted the hand* May the best man win.

*back to present time*

So, it's nine. Nakatingin ako sa salamin, tinitignan kung presentable na ba hitsurda ko. Bababa na lang ako sa event hall. Meeting with my plastic co-producers. 

 "Babe, I'm gonna go."

Pag lingon ko, nakita ko si Arissa. Tulog na. Nakatulog habang nanonood ng teleserye. She must be tired. Sinara ko yung tv. I walked up to her. Kinumutan ko siya and I gave her a kiss on the forehead, Binulungan ko siya.

"Stay with me forever, yes?"

Tinitigan ko siya. She didn't move. Kaya malamang, hindi niya narinig. Wala lang, gusto ko lang sabihin. Naguguluhan pa rin ako, sa totoo lang. Pauline made me change my ways, she wasn't my first girlfriend but she was my first love. And now.. Arissa is changing me and she's growing on me. Parte na siya ng buhay ko, tanggap ko na yun. Hindi ko lang alam kung mahal ko siya nung nawala yung isa or mahal ko siya dahil nawala yung isa. Kaya ni minsan, hindi ko sinabing mahal ko si Arissa. Dahil hindi ko talaga alam kung mahal ko siya o hindi. That's something I have to figure out real soon. Kasi kapag hindi, masasaktan ko lang siya.

Lumabas na ako ng kwarto at pumasok ng event hall. Nagbatian kami nung mga representative.
Sana wala siya dito. Kasi maiilang lang talaga ako.

"Alvin, pare."

Napalingon ako.  Sabi na eh. Ethan Abracosa, chairman ng Abra Musika Records. Solely for Original Pinoy music.

Ako: "Ethan,  tagal na natin hindi nagkita ah."
Ethan: "Oo nga eh. 2 years. Kasal ka na daw?"
Ako: "Yeap, I am. "
Ethan: "Akalain mo yun, pare. Nagsettle down ka din. Hindi ako invited."
Ako: "Sorry, chosen people lang yun eh."
Ethan: "Oh, bat hindi mo sinama si Pauline?"
Awkward situation here.
Ako: "Hindi si Pauline yung pinakasalan ko, pare."
Ethan: "Sorry, bro. Hindi ko alam. Di sinabi sakin ni Elizabeth."
Ako: "Hindi, it's understable naman."
Ethan: "Oh, ayan na pala si Elizabeth eh."

Sinundan ko yung tingin niya. Nandito nga siya. Hay. This is gonna be weird. Lumapit siya samin.
Meet Elizabeth Abracosa. Fashion model. Named as the most beautiful girl in the fashion industry. We went out on one date kaso napansin kong ayaw ko sa ugali niya. What makes it more awkward is.. best friend siya ni Pauline. 

Ethan: "Look who I ran into, Liz."
Liz: "Alvin Castellana."
Ako: "Elizabeth Abracosa."
Ethan: "Wait, tinatawag ako ng mga tagaKSS. I'll leave you two for awhile."

Umalis si Ethan. Naiirita ako. Ayaw ko talaga kay Liz eh. 

Liz: "So, Alvin, kamusta ka na?"
Ako: "I'm good, better. Ikaw?"
Liz: "Just the same. Have you heard from Pauline?"
Ako: "No, not really. Why?"
Liz: "So, you haven't heard that she's getting married."

Ano daw? Wait, wait, ano? Si Pau? Ikakasal?

Ako: "G-getting m-married?"
Liz: "Yeah, to some french artist."
Ako: "Oh."
Liz: "Isn't it funny? People always thought na kayong dalawa magkakatuluyan. But here we are, you're married to another girl, she's getting married with another guy."
Ako: "Yeah, real funny."
Liz: "So, uhm. Would you like to have a drink?"

Bigla niyang dinulas yung kamay niya sa braso ko. Nakakairita na talaga.  Keep it cool, Alvin. Babae pa rin yan. Take a chill pill.
