Even If The Sky Is Falling Down

It’d been two weeks since Harry and I broke up and I haven’t heard a word from him since. I’d stalked his twitter, of course, and noticed that he seemed happy. Which pissed me off and made me even more depressed. I had constantly asked Niall, how Harry was, to the point where I don’t even have to ask anymore, Niall just tells me as soon as he walks through the door. I haven’t left my apartment all that much, just to go to work and go to the doctor to check up on the baby, other than that I’m in my room, cuddled up with my dog and crying my eyes out. I felt bad because Charlotte would come home on her breaks from school or work to cook for me and make sure I ate and to just keep my company, and Niall was spending more nights here than he was at his own home.

Tomorrow is my 21st birthday and as of right now I didn’t have any plans especially because Charlotte has to work and the boys have to go to Scotland for some press, so none of my friends would be with me. Good news, my dad is flying in to spend a couple of days with me; I’m really looking forward to seeing him.

I was laying in my bed fiddling with some new game I downloaded on my phone when I heard the door to my apartment open, I scrunched my eyebrows together as I tried to think of who was here because Niall arrived hours ago. Just when I was about to crawl out of bed to see the guest, Zayn, Louis and Liam came barging in my room and jumped on top of me, successfully making a doggy pile.

“WE LOVE YOU!! HAPPY EARLY BIRTHDAY!” All three of them screamed simultaneously, and I couldn’t help but smile at them. They all rolled off of me and laid next to me where we all were squished together on my queen sized bed.

“I love you guys,” I told them as I rested my head on Zayn’s shoulder since he was lying down next to me. We sat in silence for a few minutes before I felt a few things being placed on my stomach. “What are these?” I asked as I pointed to the gift boxes resting on top of me.

“Your birthday gifts, silly,” Louis spoke for everyone. “Now open them.”

“You guys didn’t have to do that,” I told them as I softly ripped the wrapping paper on the biggest box. I pulled the card out and read that it was from Liam. It was a really sweet card about friendship and I hugged him before pulled out a vintage Polaroid camera and some film.

“Liam! How’d you know I’ve been looking for this kind of camera?!” I exclaimed as I quickly placed the film in it and turning to snap a picture of him smiling at me.

“It’s the only thing you ever talk about these days, love. I figured I’d help you get a jump start on taking the photos so you can put them on your wall like you said. Danielle helped me find it online,” he said, a little sad. He and Danielle recently broke up too, so we were both going through heartache together. I placed a kiss on his cheek and pulled him in for a hug.

“Thank you so much.” I opened the next box and sitting inside of the very empty box was a piece of paper that said ‘next tattoo is on me, bird.” I instantly knew it was from Zayn and I pulled him in for a tight hug.

“Thanks tattoo buddy,” I smiled at him and he shrugged his shoulders nonchalantly.

“Lou, should I be scared to open yours?” I asked him and he shook his head while chuckling. I pulled the lid off of Louis’ and I immediately started laughing once I read the font on a shirt he bought me, ‘you’ve cat to be kitten me, right meow.’ “Oh Lou, only you would get me something like this!” I said to him as I placed a kiss on his cheek.

“That’s not all, love. Keep looking.” I pulled another shirt out, a long sleeved one, that said ‘Cattitude, deal with it,’ and again laughed at the words and another shirt that said ‘Stanford Drop out’.

“Way to be real literal, Louis,” I said to him with amusement in my voice. I finished emptying his box, he also got me a new sweatshirt with a tribal print frocket as well as some new bracelets, which he claimed to be our ‘friendship bracelets’ and held up his wrist to show me his matching ones. We all laid in my bed for a bit longer until Niall came in and frowned because there was no room for him.
