Simple But Nice 

Chapter 5

Moana's POV

Two days later... 

  Ariel's been blabbing my ear off about some part that's tonight on campus. I can tell she really wants to go but guess what? I really DON'T want to go. I've always hated those kinds of parties. The ones in high school were bad enough but college ones are even worse. Plus I don't like the idea of Maui at a college party get wasted beyond belief. The last time he was at one of those parties, he started making out with random girls in which he got screamed at by all of their parents the next day for doing so. He also couldn't talk and keep any balance while standing on his own two feet. "Ariel, I'm not stopping you from going, but I don't want any part of that party tonight." Hurt forms across her face. "Please Moana. You're my only friend and I don't want to go alone." I sigh. "I appreciate that, I really do, but you have Jack too. Go with him." 

   Ariel sighs. "He's going but I want you to go too. You could bring Maui. Think of it as a double date." I put a hand on her shoulder. "I would love to go on a double date with you guys, just not tonight at the party. You two go and have fun. Maui and I can keep ourselves busy." She studies me quizzically before finally dropping the subject. If things get out of hand at the party, I'm more than happy to rescue her and Jack, otherwise I will not be a part of it. By the way, Ariel and I talked to the head of housing and switched around our roommates (both of whom weren't great) and we have each other now. We finish getting ready and head to our classes for the day with promises to meet up tonight for supper before her and Jack go to the party and Maui and I go off to... well wherever we'll go. 

That evening...

 Ariel and I have supper at the dining hall just the two of us for a bit before the guys show up and whisk us away. Though when they arrive, both of our hearts stop. Both of them look so good, especially Maui. The sight of him looking the way he does right now is enough to make me weak in the knees. We instantly start blushing and they tease use profusely. We finish eating and go our separate ways. I look at Ariel and wink. "Have fun you two but not too much fun." She blushes and Jack laughs. "We'll try our best. The same goes to you and Maui." Now it's my turn to blush and Maui's turn to laugh. Maui wraps an arm around me and we head off to our destination, which according to him is going to be his dorm room. On the way, he tells me that he was able to get Jack as his roommate too. It's been a pretty good day for us. 

  "Mo, I've realized that I've never actually shown you my dorm so I figured why not do that as a first date. I know it's not grand, but I really want you to see it." I wrap my fingers through his, holding his hand tight. "I don't need grand. I just need you Maui." I lean my head on his arm. "By the way, I'd love to see it and spend time there. That sounds like a perfect first date to me." The most adorable smile lights up Maui's face. It's so contagious that one spreads across mine as well. When we get to his dorm room, I gasp. He has such a nice dorm room. "Maui, your dorm is amazing!" He chuckles and pulls me close to him. "I'm glad you like it princess. Now what would you like to do?" I bite my lip and think about it for a moment before an idea pops into my head. I'm pretty sure Maui has the same idea because in an instant, him and I jump into his bed and start macking each other's faces off. 

An hour later...

  Both of us are tired from our amazing but energy needed make out session. Yes we stopped for breath in between kisses but only for a few seconds. We lie in one another's arms in a tangled heap trying to catch our breath. I look at him and grin. "That was amazing Maui." He returns my grin. "It sure was. If I wasn't so tired, I'd do it all over again. I nod in agreement. I'm pretty tired myself. It's been a good but super long day. "Though you know what else I'd like to do?" "What would you like to do?" He scoots closer to me and kisses me on the cheek, turning my face pink. "I'd like to sleep with you. Not in a sexual way, just having you in my arms." I scoot closer to him and let him take me in his arms. "I'd love that Maui." In each other's arms, we fall asleep in his bed, both of us having the best nap of our lives.
