Chapter 35

Maui's POV

  Words cannot even begin to express how grateful and happy I am that Mo got her memory back. Sure there are a few things that she didn't want to remember, but the good ones definitely outweigh the bad ones. She has to stay a few more days for observation purposes but other than that, she seems to be in the clear. Today I decided to pick up a couple of gifts for her to lift her spirits. I stopped at the floral shop down the street from campus to get her a bouquet of roses. In addition, I picked her up a copy of this book that she's been going on about for weeks. She so desperately wants to read it and now I'm giving her the chance to be able to without the worry of her having to go out and get it herself. She deserves to have a couple of things to cheer her up. 

 I take a deep breath and enter her room. Though my nerves get the best of me and I nearly drop both the flowers and the book. Everyone is here. I don't mind doing this in front of everyone, but it would have been nice to have a little bit of notice. I put on a smile to ease everyone's worries, especially Mo's. "Hey everyone." All of them give me warm smiles and big hugs. I then go over to Mo and do the same, except I also give her a gentle peck on the lips. "Listen Mo, I know this is going to be cheesy... but I sort of got you a couple of gifts." Mo looks at me in surprise. "You didn't have to do that Maui." I smile. "I know but I wanted to." I hand her the flowers. She takes them happily and grins from ear to ear while smelling them adorably. "Maui these are beautiful." A deep blush rushes to my cheeks. "Not as beautiful as you." Ariel, Jack, and Mo's parents all go "AWWWWW" in unison, causing me to blush even more.

   "That's not all Mo. I got you something else." I hand her the book that I requested to be wrapped to make it a true surprise. "Open it Mo." She nods and begins opening up the book. When all of the wrapping paper is off, she squeals at the top of her lungs. "NO WAY. MAUI YOU DIDN'T!" I grin toothily at her. "I did. What are you going to do about it?" She throws herself into my arms. "I'm going to hug you and worship you for all my days. Thank you so much. I've been waiting for this book to come out for months. It came out last week but I haven't had the chance to run down to the bookstore to buy it." I kiss her on the cheek. "I'm glad I could save you the trip. Do you like the gifts?" Her smile melts my heart. "I love them. Thank you so much Maui. You really are the best boyfriend ever." My heart begins to race. "Ever?" She grins. "Ever." She looks at Ariel, Jack, and her parents. "Can I have a few minutes alone with Maui?" They nod happily and leave the room to give us some privacy. 

  When everyone leaves the room, I crash my lips down onto Mo's, leading to a very heated makeout session. I've been able to kiss Mo a few times the past few days but not like this. Well yesterday was sort of like this, but this is even better. Now Mo will actually remember this kiss and hopefully cherish it like I do. I cherish every moment I have with this amazing girl. I've loved her all of my life and will continue to do so until the day I die and that is a promise.
