Chapter 53

Maui's POV

A few days later...

  Mo and I just let her parents house with all of our belongings packed, ready to head to the mountains, which is a two hour commute from here. I made sure to thank her parents for letting me spend a week at their house. I had an amazing Christmas and New Years over there. For the first time in my life, I'm finally excited for Christmas and New Years to come around again next year. I used to dread it but not anymore. Mo and her parents are family to me at this point, though Mo is even more than just family. I've already told you this a million times so I apologize for doing so. Poor Mo is so tired. For some unknown reason to both her and I, she couldn't sleep at all last night so I told her to take a nap while on the drive up the mountains. She happily climb into the back seat, spread out, and fell right to sleep with my jacket as a blanket.

   The sight of her hugging my jacket like a small child hits me in the feels. I know I sound girly sometimes, but I've never had my feelings brought out as much until Mo and I started dating. I used to bottle everything up but it's really nice not having to do that anymore. I'm honestly so at peace right now. The scenery heading into the mountain region is just lovely. I'm so excited for this little getaway. Mo and I deserve this before we have to bear the stresses of college again in just a week's time. It's important to do as much as you can while you have the time to do so. 

An hour and a half later...

   I arrive at the cabin grounds a few minutes earlier than I thought I would have. Mo's still sleeping and I hate to wake her, but I know I have to. I quietly get out of the car, open the back door, and gently wake Mo. She groans and swats me playfully but gets up slowly. "Maaaauuuiii", she adorably whines, "Do I really have to get up now?" I playfully pout at her. "I'm afraid you have to. Don't worry princess, once we get to our cabin, you can go right back to bed. I'll do all of the unpacking." She nods and gets out of the car. She goes to grab her bags but I stop her. "Eh, eh, eh, you're not lifting a finger princess. Maui's got this under control." Mo pouts. "Maui, I can carry my own bags." I grin. "I know, but lifting your bags is a good workout for me since I can't get to the gym until we get back to campus." She sighs but lets me carry all of her bags and my own. She underestimates how strong I am sometimes. Like girl, I got this. 

   We head to the office, check in, get our keys to our cabin which is right across the way, park my car closer to our cabin, and get situated in our cabin. Our cabin has everything listed in the ads online and more. It's a dream. Mo squeals and runs from place to place, soaking in the beauty of it all with child like wonder. I try not to do the same but fail when I see how happy she is and decide to join in on the fun. We do this for a half an hour before she collapses into bed and I begin unpacking for the both of us. I went grocery shopping really early this morning to get a few essentials. If we need anything else tomorrow, her and I can go by it at the corner store down the street. For today, we're simply going to be lazy bums and try our best not to feel guilty about it. I doubt Mo's going to feel guilty though because she's probably going to sleep through most of the day. I'm not going to bother her though. My baby girl really needs her sleep. 

  For the rest of the afternoon, I unpack and watch some TV on a low volume while Mo catches up on her beauty sleep. She then wakes up at five in the evening because she has to pee. I chuckle at she leaps out of bed and runs to the bathroom. After she pees, she goes back to bed for another two hours before finally having enough energy to spend some time together. "Hey Mo, I know the perfect thing for us to do." She smiles at me. "What's that?" I smile back at her. "Let's relax in the hot tub. Mo squeals. "That sounds perfect Maui. I just need to change into my bathsuit." She grabs her bathing suit, which is a sexy red bikini, and changes in the bathroom while I simply throw on my swim trunks. When both of us are properly dressed in our swimwear, I turn the jets on and we get into the hot tub. We nearly moan from how good the warm water feels and the way the jets are massaging us. This is truly vacation in our eyes. We're going to have a fun few days here, I just know it.
