Chapter 74 

Moana's POV

The next morning...

  I'm arriving at my first class of the day, which is Elementary Education 2. The classes relating to my major are always my favorite. I have two classes Monday, Wednesday, and Friday and three classes Tuesday and Thursday. It's a much better schedule this semester than previous ones. I can do work study three days a week rather than two. This year, my work study job is the financial aid department. It's a job that requires a lot of hard work, but at the same time has some down time to work on homework and studying. I just have a feeling I'm going to enjoy college a lot more this year. Last year had a lot of struggles but last year is behind me now. I need to focus on the present. 

Ten minutes later...

  My professor walks in with a bright smile on her face. She's a woman in her forties with slight age lines, some meat on her bones, and a bubbly personality. I can tell that she's going to grow on me quickly. She hands out a syllabus to everyone and we begin reviewing the basics of the class, in which we're allowed to ask questions afterwards if needed. I mean it's pretty straight forward in my opinion so I won't be asking any questions, at least not yet. As the end of class approaches, we also get a supply list to review to make sure we have everything we need for class on Wednesday. As I walk out the door, I get approached by a pretty blond girl my age with super long hair. I know she's in my grade but we've never talked before. "Moana right?" I nod with a polite smile. "Yes. And you are?" She extends a hand out for me to shake. "I'm Rapunzel. I'm a sophomore too. I know you don't know me, but I know a lot about you. You're a really strong girl and are so nice."

  A slight blush creeps onto my face as it often does when someone compliments and/or praises me. "Thank you Rapunzel. It's nice to meet you." She smiles. "It's nice to meet you too. My boyfriend Flynn plays on the football team with your boyfriend Maui." I giggle. "Does everyone know about Maui and I being a couple?" Rapunzel giggles back. "Pretty much. You guys are really cute together. I would go as far to even say that you two are goals." "Thank you. Say Rapunzel, you seem really nice and seeing as we have this class together for the semester, I'd like to be friends." Rapunzel lights up instantly. "I'd love that. Can we swap numbers?" I nod and hand her my phone and she hands me hers. We put each others' numbers into each others' phones before swapping back. "Well Moana, feel free to text me later! Maybe we should grab dinner tonight and get to know each other." "That'd be great! See you later." We give each other one last wave before heading to our next classes.

   This day is going great already. I enjoyed my first class of the day and already made a new friend who also has a boyfriend that Maui could become friends with. I'm expanding my circle of friends slowly. Hooray! It feels good knowing that I'm becoming a more social person. Ariel's more of an introvert than I am so I'm a little worried about how she's going to take the news of expanding our circle of friends. I'm going to invite the whole gang for dinner and tell Rapunzel to bring Flynn too. I want all of us to get to know each other better. What better way to bond than over food. 

That evening...

  I've informed everyone that Rapunzel and Flynn will be joining us for dinner and everyone took it really well, though Ariel was a little hesitant at first. It's not that she's being snobby, she just gets anxious around new people. I do too at times but I fight through it. By the way, my other two classes, which were calculus and women's history went really well too. Just figured I'd let you all know. Ariel and I meet up with the guys outside of our dorm and then we meet Rapunzel and Flynn outside of the dining hall. Maui, Jack, and Flynn seem to already know each other a little bit since Flynn's on the football team, though he's a new team member. I then introduce everyone to Rapunzel and vice versa. Rapunzel and Flynn are very kind to everyone and make sure that everyone feels welcome in our newly expanded group. 

   The six of us stand outside talking for a few minutes before going inside to eat. Ariel, Rapunzel, and I break free of the guys for a couple minutes to grab a little bit of everything. It's nice to know that the three of us can stomach a decent amount of food. We all get some icees to drink since none of us have had any in ages from the looks of it. We then take everything over to Ariel and I's favorite corner table. The guys then join us a minute later with Maui sitting next to me, Jack sitting next to Ariel, and Flynn sitting next to Jack. Now that we have six people in our group of friends, it makes me feel like I'm apart of the show FRIENDS.  I'd say that Rapunzel is Monica , Ariel is Rachel, I'm Phoebe, Maui is Joey, Flynn is Chandler, and Jack is Ross. *Inserts the Friends theme song to get in stuck in your heads*

    We all have a nice supper together before walking back to our dorms. It turns out that Rapunzel and Flynn live in our dorm building as well but on the second floor. Rapunzel's roommate is Anna. Rapunzel and Anna are actually cousins. It turns out that Anna has a sister named Elsa who's a senior this year. Anna's a freshman this year. Talk about a family tree. I feel like I've learned so much today about so many different topics and people. I'm also super pumped that all of my friends and my boyfriend are all in the same dorm building as me. I can basically see them whenever I want. This really is going to be a much better year than last year. I'm pumped!
