Chapter 10

Maui's POV

Two hours later...

  Mo begins to wake up from her nap. My poor baby... she's so tired. Even though her nap seems to have helped her a little bit, she still has dark circles under her eyes. I'm going to make sure that she gets some more rest later. Ariel woke up twenty minutes ago and Jack took Ariel out on a walk for a bit. I'm glad. Ariel needs to get some fresh air and I need a few minutes alone to talk to Mo. I smirk at my sleeping beauty. "Enjoy your beauty sleep?" She smirks back at me adorably. "I did actually, thanks for asking." I shift my smirk into a sincere smile. "I'm glad to hear that princess. I'm going to make sure you get some rest later." She nods at me with a smile. "Listen Mo, can we talk?" "Sure Maui. What about?" "Everything that's happened in the past twenty four hours. I still can't wrap my head around it all." 

   Mo sighs. "Me either. I'm so worried about Ariel. She's as wigged out as a psych patient in a mental hospital. The smallest things are setting hear off. While she'll do as I say, Jack is mainly the only person that calms her down for long periods of time. This guy Tamatoa sat down with us during lunch out of the blue and that was the most recent trigger. I don't know him so I can't say he's harmful, but he is a bit odd." I growl his name under my breath. That fucking asshole is trying to mess with my girl too. If he lays a hand on Mo, I'm going to kill him. "Mo, please promise me you'll be careful about both what you say to and what you do around Tamatoa. He may seem charming, but I can promise you that he's not." She laughs of all things in response. "Jack told me the same thing earlier. How can we be judging someone we barely know so hard?"

  I pull Mo towards me gently but protectively. "Mo, Tama is the mean captain of the football team that promised to make my life hell if I make the team." Mo's beautiful smile turns into a deep frown. "Oh. Gee Maui, if I knew that before hand, I wouldn't have said anything to him. I'm sorry." I peck her on the lips. "It's okay, you didn't know. Though there's one more thing I need to tell you about him, this one is a lot worse." She leans forward out of curiosity, motioning for me to say what I have to say. "Tamatoa is the guy who drug rapped Ariel at the party last night." Mo looks at me in complete shock. Her face goes pale and she grips the bed rail for support. "Are you serious?" I give her a serious expression that showcases just how serious I am. 

   Tears well up in her eyes and she flings herself into my arms. "Maui, you'll protect me, right? I don't want to be drug raped by Tamatoa either." I hug her tight but not too tight because I don't want to crush her with my super strength. "I promise you two things. One being that I will protect you and two being that I will kill you if he so much as lays a hand on you." She sniffles and wipes the tears away with the back of her hand. She then pulls my face down to her and crashes her lips onto mine. It takes me a moment to fall into the kiss but once I do, I don't want to stop. Though we do pull apart a few minutes later when Mo places a piece of paper into my hand. It has Tamatoa's name and phone number on it. "I want you to keep that paper Maui. It could come in handy for you later on." I flash her a toothy grin and put it in my pocket. "I like the way you think. That's one of the many reasons why I love you so much." She bows playfully. "It's nice to be appreciated once in awhile, especially by you."
