Chapter 24

Ariel's POV

The next morning...

  I'm just getting ready for the my first class of the day when there's a knock at my door. It can't be for Mo because she's already been long gone to class as has Maui. I open the door and I'm face to face with Jack. "Hey Jack! I'm not used to seeing you this early in the morning. Not that I'm not happy to see because of course I am, but I figure that you being here this early means you have to talk to me about something important." I study his face carefully and see panic clouded in his eyes. He looks like a frightened bird ready to take off at any second. "Y-Yeah I have to talk to you about something. May I come in?" I nod and let him into the room. I motion for him to sit down but he says that he'd rather stand. 

 He continues to look at me in panic. "Ariel, I went to Tamatoa's party the other night." My eyes widen in horror. "W-Why?" He shifts nervously from foot to foot and looks down at the floor. "I don't know why, but while I was there I did something really stupid and I'm scared that you're going to hate me after I tell you what I did." I get up and put a hand on his shoulder. "Jack whatever it is, I'm sure it's not going to make me hate you." Jack's shoulders shake. "I'm not so sure about that but I'm just going to come out with it because you deserve the truth and nothing but the truth." He takes a deep breath and begins telling me what happened. "I got super drunk at that asshole's party. I only want to check on Maui and Moana as well as to make sure Maui and Tamatoa didn't get into a fight, but one thing led to another, and I got dared to do something really stupid..." I raise an eyebrow at him. "And what was that stupid thing?" He looks down for a moment before looking me right in the eyes and says "I made out with Tamatoa." 

  I grab the railing on my bed in horror. "YOU WHAT? WHAT THE FUCK JACK? I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! PLEASE TELL ME THIS IS SOME KIND OF SICK JOKE!" Tears form in his eyes as he shakes his head no, confirming that it indeed isn't a sick joke but the truth. "Jack, I don't know what else to say to you except that I need some space. Please leave." He looks at me in shock. "Ariel, please don't do this." I sigh frustratingly. "I didn't say I'm breaking up with you, I said I need some space. I need time to think about the next step." He gasps. "The next step for what?" I look at him in seriousness and respond with "The next step for where we stand in this relationship." Jack is speechless but bursts into tears a moment later. As much as I want to hold him in my arms and tell him everything will be alright, I just can't get myself to. The truth is I don't whether or not we can salvage this relationship. I simply just watch Jack cry his eyes out until he gathers himself enough to leave my room. I don't bother giving him any last words because there's nothing else I want to say to him right now. 

Hoped that you guys liked this chapter! Also, I just wanted to say a couple things real quick. One, I'm aware that Jack Frost is a Dreamworks character, but he's also a Disney character as well. He was used in the third Santa Clause movie, though not in cartoon form. He was played by Martin Short but I feel as though it still counts so please stop acting like I'm a moron who doesn't know his origin. Two, thank you for over 400 reads already.
