Chapter 20

Maui's POV

  I spot Moana and Ariel from afar and head over to them when suddenly I see Tamatoa fuming right past them. Oh boy... that's not good. I try to ignore his death glare and focus on making sure the girls are okay but he purposely blocks my path. "What do you want Tamatoa?" He pokes his finger into my chest accusingly. "It's all your fault you son of a bitch." Anger takes over me. "I'm sorry. What is all my fault you annoying sack of crap?" He growls. "It's all your fault that you stole my girl from me. She doesn't belong with you." I take a step towards him and he surprisingly cowers back. A smirk finds its way onto my face. "Yeah you're right. Moana is too good for me, but guess what. I deserve her a lot more than you do. I don't go around raping innocent girls for shits and giggles. I ask for their consent before I go inside of them, unlike you." I'm about to make another remark when Tamatoa's fist collides with my face. A dark bruise forms immediately. I rub it before striking back even harder. 

  After punching each other a few more times, the girls spot us and pull as apart. Moana pulls me back while Ariel pulls Tamatoa back. I look at her in shock wondering why on Earth she would even make physical contact with him. She looks at me in panic and immediately lets him fall to the ground while Moana pulls me farther away from him. I'm so fucking sick of Tamatoa constantly attacking me and trying to steal Mo from it. I'm never going to get a break from him. I wish Jack were here. Jack reasons with people, even people like Tamatoa, a lot better than I do. I'll be sure to tell him what happened when we all have dinner tonight. In the meantime, I'm glad to have a moment with Mo. "Ariel, do you mind giving Mo and I a few minutes to talk?" She gives me a gentle smile. "Sure thing Maui. I'll be over by that tree listening to music if you need me." 

   When Ariel's over by the tree, I turn my full attention onto Mo. "Are you okay love? Did that asshole try to hurt you?" She laughs weakly. "No he didn't hurt me, but I was dumb enough to think that he sincerely apologizing to Ariel and I for drug raping her and treating us like shit. As soon as he started talking shit about you, I snapped and went full out bitch on him. I don't like it when people say horrible things about you Maui." Her facial expression softens. "It makes me sad when they do." My angry expressions softens as well. "Don't worry about me Mo, I can handle myself. I just need to protect you and keep you safe. I'm glad you're not hurt though. As for him apologizing, he's never going to be a sincere person. All I wish is that he would stop getting in the way of our relationship, but I doubt that he's going to stop doing so anytime soon." She nods in agreement and sighs. "I doubt it too." 

  We stand in silence holding hands for a minute before Mo breaks the silence. "What should we do Maui?" I sigh. "I don't know. The president of the university doesn't seem like he's going to expel Tamatoa anytime soon. The coach suspending Tamatoa from being captain of the football team is the closest Tamatoa has ever come to getting in trouble from what I've heard from other members of the team." She cups my face gently and gazes lovingly into my eyes. "All we can do is hope for the best." I nod in agreement and close the gap between us, sharing a gentle kiss with the girl who I know I'm going to marry someday.
