Six years had passed since the Raccoon incident.
The news of the bombing had hurt your mental stability more than you expected. The nightmares grew worse, you tried your hardest to put on a smile and keep the most positive attitude you could afford. But only two people could see through the pain.
Leon Kennedy and Sherry Birkin were on the same boat as you, sharing the same nightmares followed by many sleepless nights. You're twenty five years old.
Your attitude changed slightly, from the mind of a curious teen to one of an average adult, yet your childish humor remained shining like a dirty diamond out of coals from time to time. You shared the humor with Sherry, spending as much time as you could with her. She was like a little sister, a daughter even, if you thought of it in that certain way. While you grew up, Kennedy grew with you as well. His attitude had grown into a calm and collected demeanor. Some topics he used to find funny only sent him into some amused chuckles, the snarky remarks he pulled off sometimes were held back with others, but not around you. Around you, he was carefree of all worries.
You and him were inseparable, the bond growing even stronger day by day. The time you two had spent faltered, sometimes you'd be sent out on missions while he wasn't, and vice versa.Yet every other day, every once in a while, you'd always find those days to just relax. To sneak off into the city, to live lives like proper human adults. Like a proper couple.
Almost.
The relationship was never really too serious, and neither of you even mentioned those three special words. You two both of course cared for eachother, and loved eachother in your own special ways. The more time that passed however, the more dangerous it seemed.Having a relationship with a life like this was dangerous. Almost everyone in the agency informed you that having a relationship would result in some major consequences if you or him never returned. At first, you wanted to ignore them, but if they were right? You didn't know.
Besides your relationships, something wasn't settling correctly the more time you spent in the agency.
You were kept under surveillance every time you were around. They were making sure your ties with Umbrella weren't noted, that you weren't sending information that you knew into the wrong hands. It was ridiculous. Yet you had to accept it. Being blackmailed wasn't fun, but you had no other choice.
It nipped at your brain every day since your arrival to D.C six years ago to contact Wesker. You had too many questions, questions involving Umbrella's plans, the entire outbreak, and most of all, what the hell they had done to you.
The dreams kept revealing more and more, but it was never enough. You wanted to know so badly, but your hands were tied.Maybe you'd find out soon enough.
Maybe not.
But you were determined to find some answers from Umbrella.
