"We have to what??"
"We need to shift those posts up there. The light will open the door."
"Great, climbing. Fun." You walked ahead of Leon, looking ahead towards the first and closest makeshift building in front of you. You couldn't help but groan at all the current events that happened.
The deaths. The near-deaths.
All for the President's daughter. But something didn't sit right with you. The Las Plagas.
Whatever the hell was inside you didn't affect you within the slightest, besides the pain, that only happened once.
What seemed to trigger your mind the most was the fact Ada was here. Ada was back in Raccoon City when Umbrella was testing their virus on innocent people. Maybe these people in Spain were once innocent as well, unwillingly subjected to a parasite that caused them their bloodlust insanity to outsiders. If Ada was here, then that must mean Umbrella is involved in this. That's only my theory, but maybe... just maybe, I can disover some answers here without the government breathing on my back.
Could I risk it? It's putting everything I've come to hold at stake."(Y/N)," Leon's voice broke through your thoughts, making you realize you were ontop the roof of the makeshift shack, standing with your hands wrapped around cold rusted handles to a mirror beacon. He was already on the other building, hands on the rusted handles of a similar mirror beacon, waiting for you to move.
The red beam of light that shot from the area of the door reflected off the mirror you were holding onto, arching awkwardly towards a wierd direction. With a struggling tug, you pulled the beacon towards the side, coaxing the red laser to head towards Leon's direction.
He followed the same turning motions you did, watching the beam of light create a triangle shape back towards the door, seeping into where it needed to go.
The stone doors, again with the same insignia, slid open with the sound of friction and a puff of dust, waiting for your arrival onward. You jumped your way down from the ladder, joining Leon as he ran up the steps towards the entrance. A narrow hallway carved into the stone mountains greeted you, lit up by scattered barrels filled with wood, burning a foul smelling fuel.
The two of you crossed a paper thin looking bridge, overlooking an area where water emptied out into the ocean from an unknown source. Up ahead was a sandbag barricade, a Ganado on guard as if waiting for us.
Leon aimed first, shooting the man in the head twice, the third shot hitting the stone wall as a second man grabbed ahold of Leon's shoulders, catching him off guard.Your hand found your knife from the sheath, forcing the dirtied blade inside the man's skull. At the same time, Leon had his gun under the man's chin, firing upwards to make sure he was dead before allowing the bubbling body to fall.
"There's only one thing good about these types of enemies," you spoke out of the blue, kneeling down to grab ahold of the gun from the remains of the corpse behind the sandbags.
"And that is?"
"They carry ammo." You reloaded your own gun with a clip you scavenged from the body, giving Leon a small smile and shrug. "Am I right or am I right?"
"You're not wrong most times, I'll give you that."
You continued onwards, attacking more Ganados with gas masks and shock batons, or bullet proof vests and berets with no badges. The percentage of those who did carry guns to those with more advanced melee weapons began to falter quite quickly, resulting in lots of dodging bullets, and free ammunition.
