Your body hit the ground hard, a yelp of pain escaping your parted lips.

You panted hard, rolling to a stop on creaky woodboard ground. You opened your eyes, staring up at a clouded star filled sky.

I can't believe I just did that! Who jumps from a traincart like that?!?

"Leon..? Leon!!" You sat up quickly, despite the pain shooting through your body. You crawled over to the edge, looking below in shock. You didn't realize his grip on your arm disappeared, which brought the worst to your head.

His hand held onto the edge, his muscles straining to keep a good hold on the weak wood. "Leon!!" He heard your alarmed cry, feeling your cold hands on his, gripping tightly. He looked up to find the fear in your (e/c) eyes, forcing extra adrenaline through his body. He threw his gun by your side, his other hand connecting with yours to add in his effort to pull himself up.

You let out a strained groan, using all the strength you had at the moment to pull Leon up from the edge. As soon as he was able to get a good foot hold, he lifted himself up to the edge, quickly getting to his feet. You got up from your knees, looking at him with pure relief. "Thank god, I thought I lost you for sure."

"You'll need to try harder than that to get rid of me." He commented, picking up his gun. He gave you a small smile, making you smile in return. He looked at the small hallway in front of both of you, quickly noticing the broken remains of skulls littering the cracks in the cave walls. The door was made of the similar stone the rest of the ruins were made out of, signaling somewhere very promising.

Leon opened the door, sliding it to the side to reveal a barren room. In the center was a small stone pedestal, and on that pedestal sat a small bronze stand, holding up a large, circular shape disk. "Is that it??"

"Looks like it is." Leon walked forward, taking a closer look at the circular stone. You were slightly in awe at the stained glass material used within the disk, showing a picture of a man tied to a table. It looked like the man was a sacrifice. A sacrifice to a Lion's large mouth.

Man and a lion. That's odd.

You picked up the disk from the pedestal, your fingers grazing over the stained glass. A door in the rocky wall revealed itself, showing a candlelit hallway in its wake. "C'mon." Leon led the way, you following behind with the sacrifice stone.

The hallway led towards a ladder, taking the two of you back to where it started. You approached the door, lifting the key to the slot, pressing it in by its frames.

A loud click was heard from the door, unlocking it. The door slid upwards, revealing an elevator waiting for passengers. The both of you stepped into the ladder, Leon working the controls as it took off, taking you somewhere new.

The ride between the two of you was silent. In fact, you were busy with your obnoxious thoughts. "So," you spoke, looking up from the ground. "All that past fighting and train ride could've been avoided, right? I mean, the door was literally right there."

"It wouldn't have opened." He replied.

You bit your lip, deadpanned by his words. "Didn't think about that."

The elevator stopped, revealing a hallway made of clean marble and polished floors. It was well lit with a mixture of purple fire torches and white candles, leading into an incredibly large room.

"Oh my god." You spoke first, seeing the incredibly large statue made out of white, pure marble stone. It was a complete replica of Salazar, and it still looked to be under construction. "You've got to be kidding me. This guy's full of himself!"
