A horrible smell came to your nose when Leon pushed you up the stairs, you wanted to find the source but the constant poundings on the door prevented you from turning around.

You expected there to be a room upstairs, but their was nothing. Just one small window and a cluttered storage space area, filled with boxes and bits of ruined furniture. "Where to?" You turned to Leon, jumping in shock when the door sounded like it was busted open. Large footsteps heading inside with plenty of Spanish shouts and insults.

"Out the window! I'll cover you!" Leon stayed at the edge of the staircase, leaving you to the window. You tried to see if it could open, but it looked to be nailed shut. You didn't have enough time to use your knife to pry it open, leaving you no other choice for the last resort. "Gosh, I hate doing this!" You took a step back, preparing yourself before running and forcing your body through the window. The thin glass and wooden frame broke, sending you outside towards the ground. Thankfully, you landed with a roll in the ground without any glass cuts. But that didn't mean you felt a bit of pain coming in contact with the ground.

Leon took the same jump a moment later, landing next to you with the same roll technique, but seemed to mess up from the glass and land his back after the roll. "You okay?" You grabbed your gun quickly, standing and offering your hand. He took it and got on his knees, nodding fast before getting his gun off the ground. "Look out!" His hand grabbed onto yours, yanking you down to the ground before a rusted sickle came in contact with your head. A gunshot was heard, and a thud of a body. It was a woman, dressed in a dark blue gown and dirty yellowed apron. The bullet went through her head, almost taking out her eye.

You got off the ground, seeing the people who broke into the house coming out to your direction. You loaded up your gun, taking stance by Leon's side. "Ten people, easy enough?"

"Easy enough." He began to fire, while you took your share of the enemies. Either one or two only went down with one bullet, while the rest seemed to need three or four before the job was finished. All these people were dressed how you expected village people to dress. Men with dirtied worn clothes from work. Women with dresses and aprons, with their hair tied back to keep out of their faces.

It felt bad to kill innocent people, but you made an exception when it came to them swinging first. Good thing they don't have guns with them. At least I hope they don't.

The last body dropped, and all was silent. You lowered your gun, staring st the limp corpses, their blood staining the dirt and dried grass around them.

"Leon," you turned your head quickly to where the jeep should've been, quickly remembering. "The officers!"

"Damnit." Leon ran ahead, you following behind quickly. Both of you saw the deep tire tracks in the dried dirt, heading towards the edge of the small cliff where the bridge was built, smoke appearing from the rivers. You stopped at the edge, looking down to see the chaos below.

The rusted white truck that caused all the commotion before was now in the water, its front on fire and smoking black fumes. A few feet away, the jeep was overturned, the waters crashing against the broken metal form. "Oh..no." Leon murmured, shaking his head slowly at the scene. You backed away, not believing your eyes. "They're dead, aren't they?"

Leon didn't answer, backing away from the cliff in silence.
"Come on, we need to get to the village." He turned back, walking to the direction of the house once again. You let out a small sigh and followed, gun in hand.

Along the beaten path, their was a small shack, roughly built but still sturdy looking. Leon walked inside first, seeing lots of crates inside. A storage shack.
"Hey, check this out." On the table, their was a black typewriter, slightly dusty but in amazing condition. "Wow." Your fingers ran along the silver lettered buttons, "I'm surprised they have this here."
