The vehicle slightly trembled along the bumpy dirt road, but you paid no mind to it.
You didn't care if the road was too harsh, in fact you weren't in the mood for anything at the moment. The cause came from a terrible morning, You were forced to wake up incredibly early, jump on a plane to Spain, and be stuck in a vehicle with three other men. The two drivers up front seemed to look like some Spanish cops, or at least that's what their uniform showed. Their attitudes were completely something else, especially towards you. They way they talked about you made you want to punch their faces in.
You sat there, arms crossed in attempts to keep warm. Your attire consisted of your chocolate brown leather boots, black leather jeans with a dark navy-grey, form fitting T-shirt. Your jacket was missing, you didn't have enough time to grab it before you were rushed out of your hotel room. Your brown belt contained some of your ammo magazines and a few grenades attached on some army green straps, but you really doubted you needed them. Your combat knife was strapped to your thigh with army green straps, your gun in their proper holster. This was your first rescue mission, you weren't sure what to expect.
You gazed out at the scenery from the window, watching the trees and grass pass by, begging for sun from the grey skies. Spain wasn't what you expected, all the nature..seemed a little grey to you. Lifeless seemed to be the proper word.
"Why am I always getting the short end of the stick?" One of the officers in front caught your attention, making you listen to their conversation. "You." The driver spoke, but you weren't sure who he was talking to, you or Leon.
"Who are you, Really? Come on and tell us."
Neither you or Leon answered. You were too tired to even begin a conversation with those two. You weren't sure what was going through Leon's head at the moment, but he didn't seem to be in the mood either. "You're a long way from home Cowboy, You have my sympathies."
Cowboy Leon. That's a new one.
Leon turned his head from the direction of the window towards one of the men staring back at him, seeming slightly amused by the choice of nickname. "Guess that's a local's way of breaking the ice. Anyway, you know what this is all about. Our assignment is to search for the President's missing daughter."
"What? And they send this señorita with you? All by yourselves? Please." He chuckled.
You frowned, rolling your eyes at their tone of voice. This señorita can kick your ass any day.
"I'm sure you boys didn't just tag along so we could sing Kumbaya together at some Boy Scout bonfire. Then again, maybe you did." Leon continued talking, sounding a bit irritated by the cops.
"Hah, oh you crazy Americans. It's a direct order from the chief himself, I tell you it's no picnic."
You sat back in your seat, your fingerless gloved hands falling into your lap. You stifled a yawn the best you could, continuing to listen to the conversation.
"I'm counting on you guys." Leon insisted, but the only response he got from the officers were simple, careless shrugs.
"Bad desision." You whispered with a singing tune, seeing him smile a little out of the corner of your eye.
They continued driving for what felt like a half hour, you weren't positively clear on the destination they were supposed to leave you both at. You were bored, tired of seeing the same dull scenery outside your window. The car slowed to a stop, but the engine didn't turn off. The officer in the passenger seat got out of the car and headed towards the back.
