Chapter 25

Leon shielded your body from the blast, his grip on you tightening once the flaming boulder was tossed towards your direction. It caused a rather large explosion in your path, pieces of fiery rock thrown in every direction. It missed you two by a fair amount of feet away, but next time you wouldn't be so lucky.

"Alright," Leon looked down at you, "We're going to have to run again, ready?"

You nodded, determination filling your body, giving you adrenaline tingles. "Ready."

He grabbed tightly onto your hand, looking ahead towards the castle across the walls. Large catapults were lined up along the large walls, preparing new boulders to fire and toss. "Go! Now!" He ran for it, you following fast by his side.

The catapults tossed the rocks, some hitting way past, while others hit the paths behind you, unable to catch up to your speed. Leon continued running, getting across the bridge towards the stone tower that would help get across towards the castle.

Purple and black robed men waited, flaming crossbows and large scythes in their hands. You reached for your gun and fired at will, taking out one man with a crossbow and another preparing to throw their scythe towards you and Leon.

Leon got towards the back of the tower, the tall walls shielding the incoming large boulders crashing down.

Leon's hand broke away from yours when a purple robed man grabbed ahold of him, large hands clamped tightly over his throat. Your gun made the annoying click sounds that you dreaded, making you practically roar in anger. You grabbed your knife and lunged forward, grabbing ahold of the man's head and dragging the blade roughly across his throat. At the same time, Leon pried the man's hands off and kicked him backwards, sending him to the floor.

Three more men showed up, bare of any weapons, their hands covered in dry blood. Leon aimed and fired, keeping busy when two more hooded figures came around the corner. You reloaded your gun, standing next to Leon while helping him get rid of the growing crowd.

Faint buzzing began to echo around the area, all among the Spanish shouting and roars of anger. You looked for the source, halting your fire for a second.

Sharp talons gripped onto your waist, digging into your skin painfully while your legs lost feeling of the ground. Your gun fell from your hands, your hands going towards the claws that continued to dig into your chest. You let out a cry, the talons cutting into your skin while you were being lifted from the ground into the air quickly.

Leon looked over to see you missing from his side, he turned around fully to find you in the air, the same type of bug that grabbed Ashley grabbing onto you. "(Y/N)!!!" He yelled, seeing you struggling in the air.

Three men grabbed ahold of him, seizing the perfect opportunity while he was caught off guard. They grabbed ahold of his arms and shoulders, holding him back when he attempted to run towards you.

"Leon!!!!!!!" You screamed, the height growing farther as the bug began to fly off, taking you with it. The last thing you saw from Leon was him extending a struggled hand towards you, the hands of robed men pulling him backwards from you around the castle corner.

The parasite flew across the tower towards the castle, slightly struggling from your constant fighting. Kicking wasn't an option, due to you being hundreds of feet off the ground. Your elbows beat against the parasite in heavy attempts to get it to let go, but it was no use.

The bug flew towards the castle, dodging the catapult's throws. An idea came to your head, your hand reaching towards your knife. Right when the bug flew overhead, you stabbed the body behind you repeatedly, earning an eerie screech. You twisted the blade, causing the talons to let you go, dropping you towards the ground below.
