//Time to deal with daddy//
13 Weeks
Alison felt a feeling of bliss. Her first year of college in America had officially been over. It was usually a custom for it to end in mid May but Alison found herself taking advanced classes for a couple of extra weeks to get ahead for the next year. She still didn't know her plans and she knew that her baby would be born sometime during the beginning of November in the middle of the semester. But she pushed that in the back of her head as she knew it would only stress her out.
Alison was currently sat on the bed looking down at the phone. She had put this off for some time but now she had to do it before it was too late and the fact that the bump could hardly be hidden, it was time to make that call and tell her father that he would become a granddad.
Her finger hovered over the green bottom and she hesitated. Her mind was telling her to press it but her gut was telling her to leave it be. It was a understatement that her relationship with her father was damaged. A big understatement. No one knew how bad it was. No one but Joe (her brother) and Latisha (her step-mom). But all they did was try to forget it ever happened. All they did was try to forget that night ever happened. And so did Alison. She desperately tired to forget that night; but living with him was a constant reminder. That was the main reason for going to college in America. It was somewhere for away from him. Somewhere where she could start a new life. Away from the past that made all always look behind her shoulder.
She ignored that gut feeling and pressed the call bottom as she knew that telling him himself would mean that she could have control of the situation.
The phone rang once before he picked up.
Phone call.
Ash (dad): Alison, your calling
Alison: Yeah, it's about time isn't it.
Ash: Yes. How are you?
Alison: I'm good. I'm happy
Ash: Really?
Alison: Yeah. How have you been?
Ash: Fine
Alison: How's the hotel doing?
Ash: It's doing well.
Alison: I'm glad
Ash: When are you coming back to visit? I haven't heard from you since Christmas
Alison: I'll try to arrange something when I have the money and time
Ash: Maybe we can visit you over there. See what kind of life your leading
Alison: Sure
Ash: Delia saw a photo of you and your boyfriend in a fancy restaurant on the Twitter, I guess that means that your still together
Alison: Yeah we are.
Ash: Well I'm happy for you
Alison: Thank you....There's actually something I need to tell you
Ash: Really? What?
Alison: Harry and I are having a baby... Your going to be a granddad.
Ash:..... Beeeeeep
End of phone call.
He cut off. He didn't even say anything. Nothing. He just cut the phone off. He wasn't happy. Of course he wasn't. When was he ever happy for her.
