Saturday afternoon was an off day for all of the football players. While most people would be relaxing on their off day, that wasn't what Clover was doing. She had woken up early to pack up her clothes and everything she needed. After packing up her clothes into two boxes, putting her shoes into another box, putting her hair essentials into a small suitcase, and packing up her football gear into her bags, she was almost ready to leave.
Clover's mom had already left for work and her sister was in the living room feeding her son while Clover packed up. When her mom left, Manny had been dropped off by Mateo to help Clover pack.
Destiny was listening to her son in her arms babble when she heard a knock on the door. She got up and walked over to the door with her son Sean holding his toy as he was placed on her hip.
Destiny opened the door to see Diego and Ricky standing there in sweatpants and muscle shirts. She smiled to them before letting them in. "She's in her room."
The two boys walked through the small apartment and into Clover's bedroom. When they walked in, they saw three boxes, two suitcases, and Manny and Clover sitting on the floor as they were packing up Clover's makeup into a makeup bag.
"Whoa." Ricky chuckled. "This is a lot of stuff. You need this stuff for the rest of summer?"
Clover nodded. "Yeah. Of course. I need clothes, shoes, gear, life essentials, and other stuff."
Diego looked at the nearest box to him and put his hand on it. "Alright, so this one can go first?"
The girls nodded as they continued to pack. Diego picked up the box and walked out with Ricky so he could help Diego open up the flatbed and also not fall down the stairs.
Manny stood up and walked over to Clover's bed to put her favorite blanket into a bag. "Is it weird?"
"What weird?" Clover asked, putting the makeup bag on top of one of the boxes.
"Asking Ricky to help you?" Manny wondered. "He's your ex, but he's helping you move into your boyfriend's apartment."
Clover shook her head with a frown as they continued to finish packing up her book bag with stuff that were smaller. "He's my friend now. Yeah, we use to date but it's not biggie now. I'd help him do the same."
Manny scoffed. "You'd help him move in with his girlfriend?"
Clover nodded. "Yeah. As long as she lives in the state of Texas, cause for the year and a half he can't leave, but other than that I would." Clover smirked. "I'd help Ricky get a tux for his wedding. I don't wanna be with him anymore and he doesn't want to be with me."
"Alright, if you say so." Manny put her hands up in defense as she finished putting the blanket into a plastic bag and dropping it into the box. Right when she did, she saw the boys walk back in and carry the other two boxes out. "I just think it'd be weird."
Clover picked up her book bag and her duffle bag full of her football gear. Manny picked up the makeup bag that had fallen off of one of the boxes. The two girls walked out the room to see Destiny had disappeared. They walked out of the apartment, went downstairs, and went outside to see Diego's truck right out the front door.
Destiny was talking to Ricky as he was holding Sean in his arms. Sean was holding onto Ricky's hair that he had taken out of his bun. Manny just got in the truck while Clover said goodbye to her sister. The two sisters held onto each other as they said their goodbyes. Even though Clover wasn't leaving forever, the two hadn't realized how close they were from always being right next to each other until one of them was leaving the other.
