Monday morning, all of the football players were sleeping in their cabins. It was relatively early in the morning, so none of them were awake. There was a sense of peace over the entire camp since there was no noise, no rush, and no action. The sound of the birds chirping and the leaves rustling in the wind took over the camp.
Suddenly, nearly all the players were jolted out of their beds when they heard airhorns blasting throughout the camp.
Jacob quickly sat up on his bed just to fall back down when he hit his head on Stephen's bed since he was on the bottom bunk. Stephen hopped off his bed and looked out the window to see Mateo, Victor, Sam, and Danny walking pass all the cabins blowing airhorns.
Stephen looked over at Andrew who was in the single bed. He threw his pillow over his head as he groaned loudly.
"Oh my god! What do they want?!" Andrew sighed. He got up and threw his pillow to the side. He put a pair of sweatpants on and walked out the cabin with half dressed Jacob and Stephen following behind him. When they got to where they had the camp fires, the coaches were waiting for them.
All the teenagers stood in front of them, all exhausted and irritated. None of them said anything at first before Ethan decided to be the blunt one in the group.
"Why the hell we up this early?"
Mateo chuckled. "It's not that early. You're just all use to waking up at noon. Get showered, changed, and to the mess hall in 20 minutes. We have a surprise for you during breakfast. Clover and Manny, y'all gotta shower in the coach's cabin."
All of them went back to their cabins to grab their towels and clothes. Once they had what they needed, the boys went off towards their showers while Clover and Manny walked to the coach and trainer's cabin.
Jose was walking behind Jacob into the camp showers when they all stopped seeing a car pulling up to the camp. Ethan chuckled as he started walking off towards where the car was parked at the end of the dirt road that lead to camp.
"Even when I'm out of civilization and off the grid, they can find me." Ethan laughed.
Jacob frowned as he watched Ethan walk up to the car and talk to the man who got out. "Who's that?"
"His drug counselor. Time for his random drug test." Jose informed them, watching his best friend take the pee cup from the man and walk off behind some trees.
Ethan filled the cup up with his urine before walking from behind the trees and putting the cap on. He handed the cup to his drug counselor and smiled.
"I can't even have a phone out here." Ethan smirked. "What makes you think I got drugs?"
The man chuckled as he got back in his car. "You'll be surprised what I find when I come for these tests. Be good. See you soon."
"Always do." Ethan replied, running off to the camp showers with his towel and clothes still in his arms.
While the boys were taking turns showering, Manny and Clover were sitting in the coach's and trainer's cabin. Manny was in the shower while Clover was sitting in one of the bedrooms waiting for her. She was looking out the window as she heard Manny singing a song.
The cabin was much bigger than all of the other cabins. It had four bedrooms that were decently sized, a small kitchen, a bathroom, and a sitting area. The sitting area was full of play books, files, and other notebooks full of football related things for the team.
