Friday morning, Andrew was sitting in his living room watching tv. The only other person home was his younger sister Lynn who was to sick to go out to work with the rest of the family in the field to pick fruits and vegetables.

Andrew switched his focus from the tv screen to his sister walking down the short hallway and into the living room with him. She walked over to him and just stood in front of him to get his attention.

"What?" Andrew spoke in a monotoned voice.

Lynn crossed her arms and sniffled from her stuffed nose. "I'm hungry. Mom said you're suppose to cook me food since you're watching me until they all get back."

Andrew sighed as he stood up and lead her into the kitchen. He opened up the cabinets, opened the pantry, and opened the fridge but there wasn't anything in there. "We don't have anything. How about we walk up to the gas station and you grab yourself a snack?"

Lynn shrugged. "I don't feel like walking. I'm tired."

"Fine." Andrew sighed. "Stay here. If anyone comes to the door hide in my closet and don't leave it until I come back. Alright?"

Lynn nodded, having heard those directions many times throughout her life from her older brother. "Are you really gonna make us rich? With your football playing?"

Andrew snickered as he walked passed her, went to his room, grabbed his wallet, and walked to the front door. He could hear that she followed him the entire way.

"I'm gonna try." Andrew finally answered. "By the time you're my age, I want you to be able to make yourself soup when you're sick and not have to skip meals like I did when I was your age."

He flicked her forehead before walking out the house and heading down the street. He heard Lynn close the door behind him and try to lock it, but their lock was broken. Andrew just continued his way to the gas station to try and buy something for his sister with the $4 he had left since he had to help pay the bills around the house.

Late that afternoon, near evening, Manny was sitting in her room watching Clover get dressed for the party that her and some of the boys were going to. Manny wasn't going since she knew she wouldn't know most people there and she was also four months pregnant. She just watched Clover put her hair up in a messy bun with minimum makeup that she needed. She had on a black crop top that barely covered up her grey Calvin Klein bra. She paired it with black joggers low on her hips and black boots.

Once she finished with that, she grabbed her keys and her phone off the bed. Manny reached up and fixed Clover's hair a bit before sitting back down in her pajamas.

"Dad know you're going?" Manny asked. "He heard about the party and doesn't like the idea of it."

Clover nodded. "He kinda knows. He's in his room and I'm....at the library. Right, Manny?"

Manny rolled her eyes. "It's summer. You wouldn't be at the library. You're with Dante's roommate to help sort Dante and his other friend's stuff. They picked you up 15 minutes ago and you don't know when you'll be back."

Clover fist bumped Manny before quickly running out their room. Luckily most of the house was carpeted except for the kitchen and bathrooms. Clover quickly went to the front door and softly closed it behind her as she heard Manny walking around the house behind her to mask the sound of Clover leaving.

The moment Clover had successfully snuck out the house, she ran down the street and met Ethan, Stephen, and Jacob in Ethan's car at the end of the street. He had the headlights off but turned them on when she got in the car and they had to speed off.
