Monday morning, Ethan was woken up by his alarm blaring in his bedroom. He pulled himself out of bed and turned his alarm off. He dragged his feet across the floors as he made his way to the bathroom. He took a quick shower and tried to keep his food from last night inside his body.

Ethan got dressed in his workout clothes and grabbed his football bag. He carried it down the back hallway until he had came to the living room. He made a quick turn into the kitchen where he saw his aunt Nina getting ready for work as she made herself some coffee.

"Good morning." She smiled. "You feeling better?"

Ethan smiled widely as he nodded. "Yeah! I'm good." He smirked. "Did you make me something to eat?"

Nina nodded as she went to the fridge and pulled out a bowl. "I made it while you were in the shower." She spoke, putting the bowl on the counter and going into the living room.

Ethan walked over to the bowl and smirked as he saw it was the bowl full of his favorite fruits. He used his fingers to pick the fruits out and eat them. As he ate, Ethan could feel his body warming up and his arms shaking as he continued to eat. Ethan didn't stop until the entire fruit bowl was empty.

When he went to bend down to pick up his bag off the floor, he felt a familiar feeling in his stomach, throat, and now mouth. Ethan quickly lunged towards the sink and threw up. He ran the water so it would quickly go down the drain and his aunt wouldn't hear. When Ethan finished emptying his stomach, he turned off the sink and used some paper towels to clean off his mouth.

Ethan sighed as he picked up his football bag and carried it into the living room. He said goodbye to his aunt before heading outside and going to his car.

When Ethan arrived to practice he went along with all the other players and got geared up to begin practice.

Ethan was putting on his gloves when he felt a hand on his back. He whipped around and jumped, but calmed down when he saw it was Jose.

"Whoa there!" Jose chuckled. "Chill out, it's just me. You feeling better now? Got rid of your sick bug?"

Ethan nodded as he adjusted his gloves on his hands. "Yeah. I'm fine. One of these newbies got me sick and when I find out who, I'm gonna be pissed."

Jose snickered and rolled his eyes. "Whatever. Mateo wants everyone on the field, so hurry up."

Ethan nodded as he watched Jose jog onto the field. Ethan put on his helmet and walked onto the field but before he could even walk off the sidelines, he felt a hand grip onto his jersey. Ethan turned around to see Mateo standing there with Manny by his side on her phone and in her usual comfortable clothes.

"You better now?" Mateo asked. "Take off your helmet."

Ethan groaned and took off his helmet. "Mateo, I'm fine. It was just the flu."

"The flu doesn't have you throwing up everywhere last Friday." Mateo replied. He could easily see Ethan was pale, he was sweating from barely doing anything, and his breathing was irrational. "Sit out for a while. You look like death."

"Oh, wow, thanks." Ethan spoke sarcastically. "But I'm fine to play."

Mateo shook his head. "No, sidelines. Manny keep an eye on him."
