Monday afternoon was a usual one for all the players and cheerleaders for the Grand Ridge Jaguars. They had just finished up practice and were heading home. Most of the boys decide to go straight home and opt to shower at home since they were hot and there was no clouds to cover up the sun from beaming down on them.
Jessica yawned as she leaned against a tree as she waited for Stephen. She had already said her goodbye to Mila who drove home to shower and take a nap. Jessica set her bag down by her feet and fixed her ponytail on her head making her copper red hair fall back down her head and barely touch her shoulders.
Jessica looked up and smiled as she saw Stephen walking up to her. He gave her a gentle smile as he stood in the shade with her.
"I'm getting the football tan." Stephen sighed, showing her his arms where his skin tanned up to where his jersey and shoulder pads covered his shoulders where his natural skin color still sat.
Jessica rubbed her finger tips gently up his arm. "You need to wear sunscreen. That's gonna damage your skin. It could ruin your tattoos. Especially your new one." She encouraged, rubbing her fingers tips across his new stopwatch tattoo on his forearm. "Aren't you suppose to get a new one?"
Stephen nodded as he bent down and picked up her bag. "Yeah. My mom has to sign off on it though. She has to sign the form since I'm underage to get it by myself."
"Didn't you get your first tattoo at 15?" Jessica wondered, walking with him to the parking lot.
Stephen chuckled. "Yeah, illegally. Andrew signed the paper for me and the tattoo artist believed it. I was almost 16 so when my dad signed the form to get what he thought was my first one, I just lied and said I got two."
Jessica rolled her eyes as the young couple went to Stephen's mom's car that he drove to practice. He opened the passenger door for her and let her in before starting it up so the air conditioning could cool them down.
"Where's Jacob?" Stephen sighed. "This white boy takes forever for me to take his ass home. I'll be right back."
Jessica just nodded as she started scrolling through her phone. Stephen closed the door and walked off back towards the field. The coaches had already left and there was barely anyone around the athletic building. Stephen sighed as he leaned against the fence that divided the field from the bleachers. He pulled his phone out and went to his contacts where he went to Jacob's name and called him.
Stephen listened to the line ring and ring before he heard a vibration behind him. Stephen turned around and saw Jacob's bag sitting in the first row of bleachers.
"What the hell." Stephen sighed. He climbed the fence and hopped over the top so he landed on the other side. He climbed up the bleachers and groaned as he looked down at the bag.
Stephen rolled his eyes as he looked in front of him. He watched as between the cracks of the bleachers, he saw a figure moving.
"If this dude is dead I swear..." Stephen mumbled under his breath. He walked down the bleachers before making his way underneath the bleachers. The second he got underneath, he saw a girl running past him nearly bumping into him before Stephen saw Jacob walking towards him.
Stephen didn't say anything as he looked back and saw Macy, fixing her clothes, grabbing her bag, and running off to the parking lot. Stephen turned his head towards Jacob with a scoff.
"You sleazy piece of shit. Really? A white girl comes around and you can't keep it in your pants?" Stephen blurted out.
"I didn't expect for you to see us." Jacob sighed, rubbing his hands down his face before crossing his arms
