The next morning was a cloudy Monday. All of the sky was full of big dark clouds. Enjoying the extra darkness of the room was Stephen who was sleeping soundly with the blanket up to his face. He was sleeping soundly when he felt his body behind shook by a small hand on his back.

Stephen blinked open his light brown eyes to be face to face with a freckle covered face. He smiled a lazy smile as he recognized the freckled face as Jessica. Her parents were out for the night at a church fundraiser, so Stephen spent the night over at her house. He lied and told his own parents that he had stayed the night at Jose's house.

Jessica giggled as she pinched his cheek gently and stood up straight. "Come on, you gotta get up for practice. Diego's gonna be here in half an hour."

Stephen groaned as he buried his face into her pillow he was laying on. Jessica laughed and started shaking his again. "Come on, you lazy bum. Me and Cressida are going up to the church, unless you wanna come with us."

Stephen scoffed as he sat up and rubbed his eyes. He admired her in her tight baby blue shirt with no bra on underneath and her hot pink skirt. "I'll burst into flames if I step foot in a Christian church. You know this."

Jessica just smiled brightly before leaning down and kissing his lips. "The showers free. Your football bag is downstairs. I left some clothes for you in the bathroom that I had of yours."

Stephen just nodded as he scratched he top of his head and yawned. He watched Jessica walk out with her bare feet making small sounds against the floors. Stephen gathered himself up off the bed and down the hallway. He had been to Jessica's house multiple times, a lot more than her parents thought he'd been.

After a 10 minute shower, Stephen got dressed in the football team sweatshirt he had given Jessica before they broken up, a pair of basketball shorts he'd left in her sister's car, and his shoes he wore over last night. Stephen let his light brown hair flop of his forehead as he went downstairs and to the front room where Jessica was waiting for him with his bag by her feet.

Jessica hadn't noticed her come into the room, so Stephen snuck up behind her and put his hand up her skirt. Jessica jumped and turned around quickly. She pushed his wrist down as he kissed her lips.

"Stop it." Jessica hissed. "Not in front of..." she trailed off, nodding her head over to the wall. Stephen looked and snickered seeing the cross on the wall next to a mirror.

"I got this." Stephen reminded her, showing her his Star of David tattoo on his left forearm. "Same thing."

Jessica rolled her eyes. "Not the same thing. They're two different religions for a reason."

Stephen kissed the top of her head than bent down to pick up his bag. Right as he did, he heard Diego's pickup truck horn honk outside. Stephen kissed Jessica goodbye before opening up the front door and walking outside. Jessica stood in the doorway as she watched him run to the truck as it started raining.

Stephen hopped into the passenger's seat of the truck and threw his bag into the backseat along with Diego's. Diego was just listening to the music he was blasting through the speakers.

Stephen leaned back in his seat and felt Diego drove off. He put on his seat belt as he watched as it felt like seconds of them driving towards the school, the rain grew heavier and heavier as time went on.
