The song above is called Teacher's Pet by Melanie Martinez. I pretty much love every song involving teachers and students. But I should warn you that it doesn't really match the story I'm telling. It's just a really good song so you should listen to it.

Anyway I hope you enjoy this chapter! Don't forget to vote my lovelies!

"So I've been thinking..." Seth trails off as he sits in the seat next to me. Most of the students are still coming in but I look up at Mr. Morgan.

We haven't really talked since that night. It's been a couple of weeks and we're avoiding it. Mr. Morgan doesn't seem to be paying any attention. "That's not good." I respond to Seth, jokingly.

He makes a face at me, "It depends on what you say next." His words confuse me but he quickly adds, "I've been thinking about asking you out."

"What?"

"Yeah, I mean, you're single and I'm single. Plus I really like you so, are you busy this weekend?" He's seriously asking me out.

I hear a loud thud from the front of the classroom and look up. Mr. Morgan is picking up the stapler he was holding and looks up at us. "Sorry." He mumbles, quickly going back to stapling the packet.

"I um, can I think about it?" I don't want to hurt his feelings but I'm not so sure that it's a good idea. I'm in love with Shawn but he said it himself, I need to date someone I can actually be with. It still doesn't feel right though.

Seth looks a little disappointed but forces a smile, "Of course."

Just then Hunter sits beside me and taps my shoulder. I turn to him as he leans in, "I hate to do this to you since everything is still very unresolved, but I can't TA today. It's almost spring so my baseball coach is making us try out for positions." He warned me previously that he wouldn't be able to once baseball season actually started, but I didn't think it was going to be this soon.

"It's okay, good luck." I say. He's been covering for me, the least I can do is take my position back. Still, I can't help but get nervous at the idea. We left things more confusing than before, having sex certainly didn't help either. That being said, I can't stop thinking about how amazing we were.

Hunter smiles, sitting back in his chair while Mr. Morgan begins class. It's almost March which means there's only a few months left out of the year. Here I am, having next to nothing to show for it. I took Shawn's advice and applied for colleges recently, along with numerous scholarships but haven't heard back. I wonder if Shawn has heard back from the job he applied for, or if he got it, or if he's found something elsewhere. Either way it's not here. I guess I can't blame him, I don't really want to stay here either.

After class I stay back until everyone piles out. I walk up to Shawn's desk and wait until he looks up and notices me. "Hunter has try-outs today." I tell him, secretly hoping that he tells me not to come by after school. As much as I want to see him, it just doesn't feel right when we're in this in between state.

"I'll see you after school then, Ms. Gardner."

I press my lips in a firm line and shake my head. "Ms. Gardner, really Shawn?" He finally makes eye contact as I say, "Why do I feel like we're back to square one?"

"We're in school, it's Mr. Morgan." He's being cold, distant even.

My stomach drops at his tone but I try not to let it show. "Yeah, right." I say, turning around to leave.

I make it outside and see Seth at my locker, "Were you waiting for me?" I ask.

He smiles, his dimples are prominent. "Maybe." We begin walking down the hall when he reaches out his hand and grabs my arm, I pull away instantly. "Did I hurt you?" Seth looks at me with worry.
