Dear Diary
You will not believe it! Today i was walking past the studio and i heard one of the most bewitching solos ever. I think it's from an extremely ancient movie called 'Dances with Wolves'. That movie is really old,i didn't think they would know it. How old ARE those kids?
So i peeked in to have a look and jumped back with a near cry of disgust. It was the loony girl's trumpet friend! No,not the small one,the big one. Anyways,her solo was actually really nice. In fact,a few teachers stopped outside to hear it,except Ed Eew because he was in the staffroom pulling his pants up. (Such a perv.) I think the loony girl must have been having some sort of Sec 2 combine practice with the Band Gang. Most of the woodwinds weren't there,but Jian Huay,the Math rep from 2C3,was there. I think she plays a woodwind instrument,but i'm not sure what it is.
My Stony Bff came and saw me drooling over their awesome music and smirked at me. "You know why they're practising so hard?"he asked. "Next year,they're having a Limelight performance at the Esplanade. This is part of their repertoire,and their conductor wants it to be perfect." Performance? That sounds exciting! I remembered that Mrs Chan and Mrs Toh,the teachers in charge of the band,telling me that at the start of the year,our band had an exchange programme with an American school called Alinic High. They had a concert together at the Esplanade,and it was really hard for them to sell tickets because it was so close to exams. I do hope the Limelight performance is not close to exams next year. I might consider supporting the Band and getting 4 tickets for me,my gf,my Stony Bff and his gf!
