Xuan's POV

Somehow,i can remember all the special things that happened to us when we were still in school. One of them was some funny filming thing, and it happened again today.

"Kay,the last 8 bars of La Forza."said Diya. She lifted her hand,at the same time the others raised their instruments to their lips. As we were in the middle of the ending,I saw out of the corner of my eye, someone come into the band room. My immediate instinct was to look at the reflection in my tuba, trying not to lose rhythm. This someone was another one of those small teachers we called Small Dave. He was probably even smaller than MiLoh,and one of the annoying teachers we all hated. My first question was, what was he doing in the Band room? He was the teacher in charge of the Performing Arts stuff yes,but that didn't give him any reason to come interfering into the Band room while we were practising.

He somehow looked surprised at the sight of me,Yang,Jo,Yokie and Rathi playing with everyone else. I didn't think he wouldn't know that the fish porridge aunty,2 teachers, the librarian and the photocopy aunty were playing by now. Then again,he never bought my porridge so yeah. Anyways,he walked up to Diya, and she narrowed her eyes and stopped the band unwillingly. "Yes?"she asked, trying not to sound irritated. "Hi,is it alright if we record y'all?"said Small Dave politely. His politeness was so fake,we were all rolling our eyes, including the students. "Record?"asked Diya suspiciously, putting her hand down slowly. A wave of unrest washed upon us. What did he mean by record? What was it for?

"I'm sorry, but what is this for?"asked Diya. Small Dave then went on into some explanation that neither of us understood. "What's he saying,Yang?"I whispered. Yang shrugged. "Sounds like Greek to me."she replied. We waited in anticipation as Diya listened to Small Dave's funny explanation before agreeing curtly. "What's going on,Diya?"i asked, when he left to summon the cameraman. Diya shrugged. "I didn't catch what he said. Anyway, let's put on a good show for this whatever reason."

The cameraman followed Small Dave into the Band room and set the camera up. I could see my fellow tubas sweating and staring at him in fear. We didn't know where this was going, and we were scared. "Ok,Ms Diya, you can start."said Small Dave. I prayed that Diya would make us play a nice song-"How to Train Your Dragon." Yesss!!!!! We all smiled in relief. There was a little grin on Diya's face as she raised her hand. "One two three four-"The bass gave a low note, and the french horns started on a harmonious melody. The trumpets, flutes, clarinets, saxophones and oboes all came in gradually, and it turned into a beautiful melody that enthralled the cameraman,as he looked completely in awe of the power of the Band.

Small Dave tried to make himself annoying by coming nearer to us and trying to look at our scores. The whole song went by normally,to our surprise. This was a thing I could never understand. When we were practising,i personally felt that we sounded horrible. Ms Siew used to scream at us for sounding horrible all the time. But during a performance, even a surprise one such as now,I thought we sounded really good. Perhaps everyone knew that Band performances were usually really good, and put in the effort to sound nice. But this time,i could feel the power in our song. Diya seemed proud. I think the cameraman was also filming us. For some reason.

About a week later Diya received a message from Yokie that was from Small Dave. He commented our music and said that it sounded simply spectacular, and that our Band really was known for its quality music and powerful conductors. Diya commended all of us on How To Train Your Dragon,as that was one of our good songs. "However,La Forza is still a flop!"she said. "Back to work!"
