Chapter 3:A New Life(Part 1)

Yoooo!!!! It's your favourite sexy MiLoh Packet,and i'm BACK!!!!!:)) Loads of things have happened since the Band Gang graduated,and golly was it touching😊They've all grown up now,and i got even better news!! No,it's not the fact that i'm married to Clarice and i have a child(called Tetra)or the fact that my Stony Bff got married too and had a child(called Roxanne but we call her Rocky:|)

This good news came on the first morning of the first day of school. (It's past already but i just wanna tell it lol)Our current Principal,Mrs Pang,had told us that she was to retire,and that a new Principal would be taking over us. "It is my pleasure to welcome onstage...Ms Ong!!!"announced Mrs Pang,and the school erupted in cheers. Ms Ong? That sounded familiar. I looked at my Stony Bff nervously. "You don't think it'd be that girl last time? When we just started? The...Maths rep or something?"i whispered,and he shrugged. The new Principal stepped onstage with a half smile.

Her height was average for a woman,and her fierce,piercing eyes were framed by thick black spectacles that resembled my Stony Bff's. Her jet-black hair was pulled into a neat ponytail. She barely grinned,and my skin crawled because she was basically an adult version of the Maths rep from 10 years ago. In fact,it was the exact same person:Ong Jian Huay.

"Thank you Mrs Pang."she said. Her voice was cold,and everyone shut up immediately,looking absolutely terrified. This new Principal was NOT to be messed with. "I am very privileged to be the Principal of Bandset Girls' School. This is a wonderful opportunity as i used to be from this school,and indeed had many unforgettable memories. I am sure that all of you here at Bandset's will be the same way." I smirked. Unforgettable memories alright. Of Ed Eew,of the crazy toilet meetings,of the fire alarm that got set off when they were rummaging through Ed Eew's office..it was like a movie replaying before me.

"Bandset Girls' is a good school,known for not only academics,but also CCAs."continued Ji-i mean Ms Ong. My eyes searched the crowd for my child and spotted her with Rocky. They looked absolutely amazed at the power that one person could hold. "I would like to see you all working hard for not only your academics,but your CCAs as well. I hope to see all of you putting in your best effort. Now,i would like to introduce some of the new staff that will be joining the school this year,no matter how big or small the positions are. Can we all give them a round of applause!" My Stony Bff's and my eyes almost burst out of their sockets when we saw Yang,Jo,Yokie,Rathi and Xuan moving onstage. They took a small bow. They all looked excited,and exactly like how they looked like when they were still in school. Ten years suddenly felt like a short time to me,as it felt like yesterday that they were staring at me quizzically when i asked them to set me and Clarice up.

Later on,me and my Stony Bff made our way to the classroom. Ms Ong had conveniently made us the Form Teachers of our kids' class-wowzz!!! "Can you believe it? The whole Band Gang is working here!"i said excitedly. "I know right,i mean they've grown so fast. Soon i'm sure our kids will be the same,"replied my Stony Bff. He was as stony as ever. He softened up quite a bit for a few years and we all saw his true soul when his wife was alive,but he went back to hide in his hard,stony shell when she passed away. I could see bits of his soul trying to come out,but staying stony as if that was a compulsory act when his wife passed away.

"I wonder where Diya went though? I didn't see her on stage just now,"i said,trying to forget what i was thinking about. He shrugged. "I dunno. I mean it's not a must for them all to work here. I suppose she found a better job somewhere else." We were proven wrong. As we were entering the classroom,we heard our daughters chattering nonstop over the class's solemn state. After all,they were the only ones in class who knew each other since like,forever. "Did you hear?"Rocky was saying excitedly. "There are Band auditions tomorrow at 3.00!! I really want to go,i heard that this school's Band is superb!"

Tetra nodded excitedly,but stiffened when we walked into the classroom. She tried to treat me like a real teacher and not her dad because she felt a bit weird about it. We greeted them and introduced ourselves,and as a faint murmuring rose like a cloud hanging above the classroom,we distinctively heard Tetra whisper,"Yes,and i heard the conductor of Bandset Girls' Band is Aunty Diya." My Stony Bff and i smiled at each other.
