English Title: Love From Paris

Spending the past few days in Paris has really got me reenergized. I feel so much better now, all the hours of R&R in this beautiful city and the all love you send to me in our messages and calls rejuvenated me in body and spirit.

The only thing is I miss you. So. Damn. Much. I regret not making the decision to go here sooner. That way you could have made the decision to join me and we could have worked around your schedule. I guess there are reasons why that didn't happen. I can name a few just standing in front of the shop window.

I would have never made you choose between going on a trip with me or spending time with your family for a special occasion. I know that you would rather be in Matti's party with your loved ones than in a social gathering with people who are mostly strangers to you.

Also, who knows what other will say about us going on this trip together? It's different when we go out of the country for work or group tours but this would have been our first one with just you and me and I know people will have a mouthful to say about that, not all of them good. I can take shit that they throw at me. I can merely shrug that off and move on but not on you. Never on you and my family. I won't allow that to happen.

Lastly, which in a way is a blessing, I wouldn't be able to buy this beauty without ruining the surprise if you were here with me. You'll probably find out about it before I even got the chance to think of how to give it to you.

I close the tiny box and put in my pocket where it will stay until THAT moment.

It's 11am, you're probably at home now or on the way to your shoot maybe we can sneak a few minutes to talk. I search for your number and call you on FaceTime.

"Hello, Love." You smile and it looks like you're in your van that is stuck in traffic.

"Hi, Love. Papunta na shoot?" I ask.

"Yes. Kumain ka na? Wag ka masyadong magpa-araw baka sipunin ka naman. Kahit Paris yan. Pareho lang effect ng araw diyan."

I'm out here on vacation and yet you're still the one worrying about me.

"Eto. Hanap kami ng makakainan ni Mama Ten."

"Mama Ten! Miss ko na si Mama Ten. Miss ko na din yung eggs and toasts with bacon na niluluto niya sa umaga."

"Anong Mama Ten? Ako nagluluto nun para sa'yo. Ako!" I pout and you giggle. "Nauna mo pang na-miss si Mama Ten kesa sa akin."

"Ano ka ba? Siyempre miss na miss kita at alam kong ikaw ang nagluluto. Gusto ko lang makita yang batang inapi look mo. Ang cute cute!" You grin.

I grunt and scowl. "Pinagti-tripan mo na naman ako. Nakakainis ka."

"Pero love mo?" You smile.

And damn my weak heart and resolve for you, that smile gets me ALL. THE. TIME.

"Ay! Sobra! Sobrang love kita." I answer in a heartbeat.

"Gaano ka love?" You ask in your sweetest voice then bite your cherry lips with those darned lashes batting like fans over your doe eyes.

Oh, how you take my breath away, Maine Mendoza.

"I love you from Manila to Paris and back." I smile.

"Luma na yang sagot mo eh. Yan din sagot mo nung sa Texas. Script mo na ba yan?" You pout.

"Hindi ah. Totoo kasi yun. Kasi kahit nasaan pa ako, yung lawak at laki ng pagmamahal ko umaabot hanggang sa'yo. Kahit umabot pa ako ng moon, Mars, Pluto or the edge of the universe, my love will always be great enough to wrap you in its warmth."

"Ganoon? Paano kung magkasama na tayo? Maliit na lang yung love mo?" You frown quite adorably so.

"Siyempre hindi. Pag magkasama tayo, sa sobrang laki ng love na nararamdaman ko, binabalot na nun ang buong universe natin ng three hundred thirty one point twenty four million times." I say and you giggle.

"Napaka-specific. I love you."

"I love you more. Sobra. Sobra." I sigh and smile.

"Ang cheesy cheesy natin." You grin. "Kung sabagay, masarap ang keso." You sigh dreamily.

"Gusto mo ng keso? Sakto! Madami dito." I grin as I show you the big display of different cheeses in the shop I am in.

"Drool. Slurp. Naglalaway ako." You say.

"Sa cheese o sa akin?" I smirk.

"Hala. Ene be? Teka." You blush and tuck your hair behind your ear. "Sa cheese." You grin.

"Ano?! Sa cheese? Ihahagis ko lahat ng cheese na to!"

"Joke lang." You laugh. "Uwi ka na. Gusto ko na ng hug at kiss." You smile.

"Hug at kiss ko lang. Hindi na cheese?"

"Pwede ding may cheese. Ano kaya lasa ng kiss na may cheese?" You smirk.

Kingamaaaa! Iuwi niyo na ako ngayon!!! Ibabalot ko na din ang lahat ng cheese na to!

"Pwede nating subukan." I say wiggling my eyebrows, trying my best to keep my cool and not look overly excited.

"Sige." You smile shyly. "Uwi ka muna."

"Pauwi na ako. Mamaya na flight ko. Ihahanda ko itong cheese at ikaw, ihanda mo yang kiss mo. Dapat good for one week na hindi tayo nagkasama."

"Halaaaah..." You blush and cover your face with your hand as you nervously giggle.

I smile as I watch you and I fall for you all over again. 💛
