"What are you doing here? It's past midnight. Hindi pwedeng dumadating ka na lang dito ng walang sabi-sabi sa dis-oras ng gabi. We can't do this anymore." I told you when you appeared at my door after my iPhone X event.

You were sporting that wide five-year old grin with your dimple sunk to its deepest which never failed to make my heart skip a few beats and my knees go weak.

"We're still friends right? Friends hang out. Movie marathon?I have popcorn." You beamed and raised the big paper bag with a couple of bags of popcorn from Chimara. "I also got their tofu pesto pasta. Favorite mo pesto eh so I thought gusto mo i-try." You said, biting your lip.

Please stop looking so yummy.

"Thank you. But you really don't have to do this anymore. After what happened last night..." I paused as I felt heat on my cheeks, remembering what happened last night. "Maybe we should stop seeing each other like this."

You sighed. "You said you wanted to be friends and I'm here trying to make this friends thing work kahit sobrang hirap. Meng, can we just forget about last night and try again?"

"Hanggan kailan? What if we we end up hurting each other more?" I asked.

"We love each other. We'll know when to stop. Hindi natin sasaktan ang isa't-isa." You said with a serious expression then smiled. "Please, Meng. Let's just try and try until we succeed? I promise to behave if you promise not to kiss me anymore." You grinned.

I blushed and tucked my hair behind my ear. "Ano ba? Nakakainis to." I giggled then rolled my eyes.  "Fine." I said and moved to the side to let you in. "We're doing this. But we're JUST friends, okay?"

"Okay. We are JUST friends. Although... You may need to remind me about that again when I kiss you." You chuckled as you passed by me and went straight to the living room.

"Hoy!" I chased after you after pushing the door and locking it. "Anong kiss? Umuwi ka na nga."

"Joke lang. Ito naman. I won't kiss you. Unless" You then paused to stare at me provocatively from head to toe. "... you want me to."

I squinted my eyes at you and huffed. "That's it! Get out, Faulkerson. Uwi!" I said.

You just laughed at me and pulled me by the hand to sit beside you on the couch. "Tama na yan. Wag ka nang magalit. Lalo akong naku-kyutan sa'yo." You chuckled. "Sige na, Friend. Pili ka na ng movie and just get used to your guy friend who uncontrollably flirts with you." You winked.

Which made me laugh and shake my head. "Buti na lang kumindat ka, I could have given in and kissed you na." I giggled as you pouted. "Sanay na ako. I've been friends with that guy for over two years and he flirted with me since day one."

"Ganoon ba ako ka-obvious?"

"What? You weren't trying to be obvious? With those pa-yummy glances, dimple flashing, lip biting and twerking like Miley?" I laughed.

I was expecting a quick comeback from you but that didn't happen you just stared at me with a meaningful expression and a soft smile on your face. "See? We can do this. We can hang out, have a good laugh, and be happy as friends."

"Yes, I think we can." I smiled back and leaned my head on your shoulder as we settled in the couch.
