The Video

You looked at me like I was going to be in trouble and I felt my hangover miraculously lift away from my body then replaced by anxiety.

You were about to press play when I stopped your hand. "Love, sandali."

You raised a perfectly shaped eyebrow at me and squinted. "Why?" You asked threateningly.

I wrapped your hands firmly between my palms and looked into your eyes. "I don't know. Hindi ko alam eksakto ang laman niyang video. I was really out of it last night pero kinakabahan ako eh. Basta, Nicomaine ko, mahal na mahal kita. I'm sorry kung ano man yan. Please, wag mo akong iiwan."

"Bakit ako naman ang kinabahan? Inunahan mo na ako ng sorry. Ano ba talagang ginawa mo kagabi?" You sighed and cupped my cheek. "I trust you. Drunk or not, I know you will never intentionally hurt me. I love you too. Let's just get this over with, okay?"

I took a deep breath and kissed your hand. "Okay."

You then scooted closer to me, settling in front of me, between my arms and legs. I rested my chin on your shoulder as you pressed play.

The video started with me laughing at something Kuya Jose was saying it appeared like Kuya Wally was taking the video with his voice giggling in the background.

I looked wasted, barely able to hold my head straight. My eyes were heavy and I had a silly grin on my face. Kuya Jose was grinning at me when he patted my shoulder. He looked tipsy too.

"Sssst, Soy!" He called or that was how it sounded. "Ting-Tingnan mo yun." He slurred and pointed to his right.

The camera and I followed his direction which showed you and Kuya Pao giggling at a table in the opposite side of the room, whispering like girls sharing a major secret.

"Kita mo?" Kuya Jose asked.

"Mmm..." I hummed my response and nodded my head slowly.

"Ganda noh?" He told me. "Ganda ng Menggay natin, ano?"

"Sssobra... S-shobrang ganda ng Menggay ko." I slurred.

"Hala, Jose! Menggay daw niya." Kuya Wally said from behind the camera.

"Hoy!" Kuya Jose grinned and pinched my cheek. "Anong Menggay mo? Jowa ka ba? Ha? Jowa?"

"Oo." I answered directly with a smug expression.

"Ha? Kayo na ulit?" Kuya Jose asked.

"Ha? Ano? Sabi ko ba yun?" I said.

"Hoy, Richard! Wag ka nga! Huli ka na!" Kuya Wally chuckled from behind the camera.

"Hindi mo jowa? Hindi? Sige, ikaw din. Kita mo yang mga yan?" He pointed around the room to every guy who happened to be watching you from afar. "Lakake ka. Lalake ako. Wally! Hoy! Wally!" He called to the camera. "Lalake ka."

"Madalas." Kuya Wally laughed and Kuya Jose laughed with him while I just looked confused.

"Malinaw mata ko. Ikaw malinaw mata mo?" Kuya Jose asked me. "Bo!" He called. Bo was short for "Kalbo", I figured. A name he fondly calls him.

"Malinaw din." Kuya Wally answered.

"Oh kita mo?" Kuya Jose turned to me.

"Ano po?" I asked.

"Hay naku!" He exclaimed and patted my cheek. "Ang pogi mo. Pogi eh. Pogi." He chuckled and pointed at you. You were sipping from a glass of frozen Margarita. "Maganda." He then pointed at the men again. One of which was a fairly attractive guy holding a plate of food with one foot in front of him, probably thinking of approaching you. "Daming nagagandahan."

I nodded my head as I stared at you. "Gets ko na, Kuya Jose."

"Ngayon... aamin ka ba sa totoo o ibibigay ko number ni Meng dun?" He asked as he pointed to the guy with the plate.

"Wag! Bawal yun. Iba na lang. Wag ang Menggay ko." I answered clearly but my eyes still showed I was drunk.

"So Menggay mo nga?" Kuya Wally asked.

I sighed and looked at you. "Menggay ko yan." I smiled.

"Para malinaw... Girlfriend mo yang si Menggay mo?" Kuya Jose asked.

"Girlfriend... Pakakasalan ko yang Menggay ko na yan. Mahal ko yan eh." I sighed with eyes that were completely mesmerized.

Kuya Jose and Kuya Wally cheered and giggled but my eyes remained glued on you.

The camera panned to your direction and the video ended with Kuya Pao pointing at me and you turning to look at me with that refreshing smile like the early morning breeze.

"Oh my god!" You gasped with your hand on your mouth. You didn't say or do ang my for a few seconds as you stared at your phone screen so I felt the need to explain.

"I'm sorry, Love. Hindi ko napigilan ang sarili. Nasabi ko na talaga. Sa totoo lang I was somehow relieved na tatlo sa pinakamalapit sa atin, alam na at tiwala naman ako na ililihim din nila pero I also know how much you wanted to keep this between us muna kaya I'm so... ooomph." Before I could finish that statement, your lips were already locked on mine, kissing me full and hard.

"That was so sweet." You smiled when our lips parted. "Tama ka. I'm glad that at least they know na. We can trust them. I love you."

"I love you more." I smiled and kiss you again.

"Now, how about that showers?" You smirked.
