"We're here." Dan and Grace are sharing earphones in the back seat, Hayley is tracing the lines in my hand and humming along to the radio. "It's only been half an hour everyone get out of slow mode." Hayley sits up and Dan takes out his earphones.
"You heard the man." He turns to Grace and smiles, opens the door and shouts. "Hurry up then, lets go make memories."
We finally entered the funfair with green bracelets. The queues weren't as long as I expected.
"Okay so what's first?" Dan swung his arm over Grace and joined us sitting on a bench.
"Food after not before." Grace warned.
"Of course."
"What about bouncer as a stater ride and then The Wheely, maybe The Hammer, oh and then we have to do Acceleration." Hayley turned to me and smiled. "Please?" I groaned but her mouth was on mine before I could answer. It was a slow kiss at first, but my hands somehow found themselves under her shirt, caressing her back. I could feel her intake at my touch. She straddled me on the bench and her hands ran through my hair. I delved my tongue inside her mouth, my hands moving to her stomach. I loved the way she felt, tasted, sounded. I flicked at the rim of her shorts and she let out a small moan.
"Umm." Dan cleared his throat from behind us. I groaned and pulled away, I rested my forehead on hers but her eyes were still shut. I brought my mouth closer to her ear. "That. Felt. So. Good." She looked up at me and laughed, I laughed with her.
"So acceleration yeah?" She asked.
"fine."
"Yes." Her squeal made Dan and Grace turn around. They were by some shooting game. I guess Dan was winning her a teddy bear, because when they came back to the bench she held a huge panda in her arms.
"So we kinda wanna go to the haunted house-"
"and big foot." Grace chimed in. Hayley huffed.
"Okay how about you two go do that and in an hour we meet back for acceleration?"
"Sounds good." Grace smiles and squeezes the teddy bear. Then Dan smiles, he doesn't say a cocky comment, or swing his arm around her. He just smiled down to the small girl beside him,the same thing I did when I first met Hayley. It was weird seeing the same look on someone else. It was weird thinking about 'when I first met Hayley' it felt like years.
"Okay. See ya in an hour." Hayley hugged Grace.
"In case we don't meet again." Hayley touched her pinky to her sisters "love you."
"Love you." They smiled and then parted ways.
"Okay so Bouncer?" I wrapped my arm around her waist.
"Yeah, sure" She ran ahead and I followed her. We waited in the queue for 5 minutes then we were strapped in. The ride is a spiral it goes really fast up, really fast down. But sometimes it stops in the middle and bounces up then down again. To define: it'll hurt your stomach. A lot.
"Are you ready?" Hayley asked. I could see the excitement in her eyes. Her legs couldn't stay still and she failed to hide the grin on her face.
"Are you? Brace yourself angel."
"Why would I need to do that if I've got you?" I smiled and leant down to kiss her but-
"Wooo." The screaming had already started when the cart jerked upwards. Hayley wrapped her hand in mine and widened her eyes. We must have been up at least 60ft before we came crashing down. I wasn't scared of heights- but Hayley obviously was. I pulled her close to me but she insisted on looking over the edge. She'd look over with her head and hands tightly on the bars. The ride jerked upwards again and she screamed, still looking down. I laughed at her. I placed one hand on top of hers and one on her back. I pushed her slightly and then pulled her into my chest. She screamed. I laughed again, this was hilarious.
"I could have fallen you ass-" the rest of her sentence was drowned out by me screaming this time. The ride bounced up and down, faster and faster. Air was whipping around so quickly I couldn't breathe. So I screamed. Hayley laughed at me , but soon enough it was her screams that had me keeling over. Her hand grasped mine and we thrust both arms in the air.
Then the ride stopped, right at the top. I looked at her, she looks at me.
"One last drop for y'all. A little faster." The man in the plastic box spoke into a microphone. "Are. You. Ready?"
Every cart erupted in a battling screech of no's and yes.
"Let's do this ." I raised my hands above my head. No bar. Hayley did the same, raising a challenging eyebrow. I smiled and then, we plummeted.
******
"That was awesome." We were off the ride heading to the next.
"Wait, lets calm down a bit." I stopped in front of a ride called moving chairs. If you call it a ride. The swings were next to each other in two's, almost as high as the other ride but significantly slower. A moving version of sight seeing.
"Come." I held her hand she rolled her eyes and followed. We flashed the man in the box our wrist bands and headed on.
"How long do we have these for?"
"Umm, unlimited rides till 10:00."
"Good." Hayley leaned back in her swing. There was a small chain protecting her from falling out. We were slowly lifted into the air. The sights were amazing. You could see everything. Big skyscrapers, patches of farm land, fields. A river that seemed to twinkle.
"It's beautiful." She sighed, I smiled."What?"
"Nothing. It's just the last time you said that I was showing you a pond near my shed."
"So?"
"So you were looking at the pond and I was looking at you. At that point in time I never thought this would happen."
"And what's this?"
"Are we really gonna have this conversation now?" She spoke softly, I saw a flicker of something in her eyes. Defence- the old Hayley. I held her hand and it disappeared.
"We should probably talk about it sometime, rip the band aid off."
"It's not going to be a hard conversation." I told her.
"No?"
"No." I smiled "You're mine. End of."
"Yours?"
"Yes mine, my girlfriend, my partner. Whatever you wanna call it. We have to stay monogamous- anyone touches you I kill em." It was fairly straight forward but for some reason she seemed shocked.
"Okay." She finally blinked.
"Okay?"
"Yes okay." I smiled.
"Great."
"Great."
