Ginger Snaps

Adjusted the recipe & added a few ingredients

125g butter slightly soft
3/4 cup castor sugar
2 tblsp oil
1 egg
1/4 cup golden syrup
4 -5 tsp ginger powder
1 1/2 tsp cinnamon powder
1 tsp bicarb
1/2 tsp baking powder
Self raising flour to make a soft dough.

Beat butter,oil and sugar till fluffy.  Add eggs and golden syrup and beat in.  Add rest of ingredients and form a soft dough. Make balls and roll in sugar and flatten slightly. heat the oven to 180oc bake the biscuits on the same heat for about 5 mins till the cracks start then lower the temperature down to 160oc till golden brown

Tip: to get those lovely cracks in ur biscuit, ensure that ur bicarb is fresh (I buy those small sachets) & make sure to use self raising flour.
