Chapter Forty Six
Kathryn's Point of View

Naalimpungan ako sa tulog ko. Biglang nagring yung cellphone ko. With my eyes still closed, I reached my phone on my side table.
"Hello?" I groggily answered the phone.
"Kath! Nagising ba kita?" It's Seth.
"Obviously," I snapped. "What do you want, Seth?"
"Diba alam mong magdrive?" tanong niya.
"Why the heck do you wanna know? Iyan ba ang dahilan kung bakit ka tumawag, Seth?" I asked.
"Will you just answer the damn question?" he snapped.
"Fine, oo. Alam ko." I answered.
"Good. Sneak out of your house, get your keys, drive over here. Drinks Avenue, yung bar malapit sa subdivision niyo." he stated and ended the call.
Why the heck?
I lazily got out of bed and went to the bathroom. I washed my face and brushed my teeth.
I didn't bother changing clothes. Pajamas are comfortable.
I know Dad's fast asleep, knowing na nag-overtime siya. Alam kong pagod yun. I slowly made my way downstairs, without making any unnecessary noise.
I successfully got out of the house without being caught.
Now my only problem is how I do I freaking start my car without making a noise?

I managed to drive out of the subdivision without getting caught. Ganun yata kapagod si Daddy, hindi niya napansing lumabas ako. Nagpaalam din ako sa mga guards, sinabi kong wag nang sabihin kay Daddy na lumabas ako ng ganitong oras.
I parked my car outside the bar that Seth was talking about. Inilabas ko yung cellphone ko at tinawagan si Seth.
"Are you here na?" tanong niya.
"Yes, nakapark na ako." sabi ko.
"Pumasok ka, I'll tell Katsumi to find you." sabi niya.
"What? No! I'm on my pj's, Seth. Kayo yung pumunta dito." I protested.
I heard whispering and shuffling from the other line, until Seth spoke. "Okay then, wait for us."
I sighed and kept my phone. Ano na naman ba ang nangyari?
I looked around. I knew it, alam ko na kung bakit nila ako pinapunta dito. Nakita ko yung Challenger ni DJ sa Parking Lot, a bit too far from my car.
Nagulat ako nang may kumatok sa window ng shotgun seat, si Seth.
Lumabas ako nang kotse and went to the other side.
At ayun, tama nga ako. Akbay akbay ni Katsumi at Lester si DJ, lasing na lasing. May pasa pa sa labi at sa pisngi.
"Anong nangyari dyan?" tanong ko kay Seth at nakapamewang pa.
"Nalasing." sagot niya.
"I'm talking about the bruises on his face." I snapped.
Nagtinginan naman silang tatlo.
"Uhm, napaaway kanina. Ahh, nakipag-agawan ng drinks eh." sabi ni Lester.
