HEY BISHES.

LOVIN' LIFE?!

Okay I need to stop.

Sorry, no music today.

Enjoy!

Dan's POV

The door slammed in my face and I stood dumbfounded on the porch of her house. Grace did all that? I felt tempted to knock and scoop her into my arms, whisper sweet nothings in her ear. Be with her.

But I can't.

She's happy with Caspar and I need to move on either way. She's off limits. I left, heading back home to where Grace was. Don't get me wrong, she's a nice girl, but she can get relatively annoying when (y/n) is around and I guess I know why now. I was passing a house when Caspar exited it, a rose in his hand. I ducked behind a tree, pretending to casually text, watching him. He stopped at the end of the drive way and looked the opposite way to (y/n)'s house. He seemed tempted to go that way, but went the other way instead. He continued along until he noticed me.

"Wha--What are you doing in front of my house?!" he asked, backing away slightly.

"I just stopped to text someone, where are you headed?" I asked.

"To...uh...(y/n)'s" he said. He seemed to forget her name all of a sudden.

"You alright Caspar?" I asked.

"Fine, now just go." he said, continuing on his way to (y/n)'s. I turned and headed home. Was he cheating on her? In love with someone else? I stopped suddenly when I came face to face with Grace.

"Oh...Dan. What are you doing here?" she asked.

"Coming home, what are you doing?"

"I-uh...got worried...that you uh-got lost or something." she said. Then something clicked in my head.

"Are you dating Caspar?" I asked. Her eyes opened with surprise.

"Wha-? No." she replied. Her face said she was lying, but I would soon find that there was truth in that answer.

"Let's go, Grace." I said, taking her hand and pulling her in my direction. As we walked, I imagined the look on (y/n)'s face when Caspar arrived with her gift. The look of approval within her mother's face, one I'll never receive. Phil's support though he's still warming up to Caspar.

I wish I was him.

But I can't be.

And it's all my fault.

(y/n)'s POV

The doorbell rang and I let my mom answer it.

"(y/n), Caspar is here!" she called. I looked over at Phil and he shrugged. I got up and headed down the stairs. Caspar was meeting my mum, rose in hand.

"Hey love, I brought you this!" he called, holding out the rose for me. My mum had disappeared, which I was grateful for. My face turned red and I took it, kissing his on the cheek, which then turned into a full on kiss. I pulled away and took his hand, leading him up the stairs to where Phil was sat. I took my spot, grabbing the controller and Caspar sat on the bed above us. He rested on his stomach, his head in between us.

We sat for a while, playing and screaming, switching turns until Caspar said he had to go. Phil looked over at me. Was I going to ask him now? I led Caspar down the stairs and stopped him on the porch.

"Caspar, I have a question." I asked. He nodded. "When Dan and Grace were at that place across the street, did you look at her? Like...that?" I asked. He put his head down.

"I-I I did. I'm really soory, it was inexcusable and I apologize." he said. I nodded.

"That's okay, just as long as you don't lie to me. Looking at other people is fine." I said. He nooded and kissed me goodbye. I watched him leave before stepping into the house. My mum was standing there and she frowned.

"What?" I asked.

"Well, it just seems that you don't trust him very much. Am I correct in saying this?" she said. Phil had come down the stairs now.

"Well, yeah." I said.

"And why is that?" she asked. I thought for a moment.

"I-I don't know." I said. She looked at me for a moment and them up at Phil.

"Well, if you don't then why are you still with him, dear?" she asked.

"I don't know." I said, defeated.

"You feel like you need a 'legitimate reason' is that correct?" she asked. I nodded. "Well, this is a legitimate reason. Don't stay if you're unhappy."

"But that's the thing. I am happy." I said. She nodded.

"You'll figure out hun." she said, disappearing again. What was with my mum dropping all these bombs on me today?!

~Time skip brought to you by Dan's bad lynx parenting skills~

Today was Sunday. I was currently sat across from Zoe who was interrogating me about my problem with Grace.

"So, this Grace girl he's dating. Tell me everything I don't know." she asked.

"Well. She's a bitch, as you know, and after I left yesterday and Phil came after me, they stopped me and she was asking if I was having problems with Caspar, just to piss me off. Then Dan showed up later, apologizing on her behalf and when he wanted an apology back I snapped and screamed at him." I said.

Zoe nodded. "And this date you have later?" she asked.

"Caspar is taking me out to some restaurant." I said.

"Okay, cute. Is that all?" she asked.

"Don't worry, I'll probably bring all my problems to you later with ice cream, so be free." I said. She nodded and I sighed.

"I really don't know what I'm doing." I said.

"With what?" she asked.

"Caspar. He's nice, but as shown to me by my mother, I don't trust him very well." I said. She nodded. "And that I apparently need some legitimate excuse, although it's probably legitimate now, to end it."

"You're rather promblematic aren't you?" she said.

"You have no idea." I replied.

What was I doing? I was practically fake dating Caspar, torn between hating and loving Dan, in this petty war with Grace, and putting it all on my loved ones. I'm a great friend aren't I? I imagined what Grace and Dan were doing right now, and the image isn't pretty. I apparently love to torture myself when it comes to Dan. Whatever is happening, I manage to scrounge up some little thing to torture myself with. My mind is a pretty sucky thing.

I hate him.

But at the same time, I think I love him.

What is wrong with me?

Hey.

This chapter was not as great as I hoped, but I hope you enjoy anyway.

Stay awesome!
