Hey

Throwback song(for me)^

I have a speech for English coming up.

And try outs for a peer mentor group. (I heard last year they had to lip sing to test public speaking. Ahem, that's hella different than talking.)

I'm so nervous for all of it.

FFFFFFFFFFFFFFFF

(y/n)'s POV

I gave Dan a face and he only shrugged at me.

"Do we really have to?" I asked, groaning.

"Mrs. V says it's a good idea that everyone comes to the party," Dan said and I groaned again, rolling off the couch, "come on it's not that bad."

"Oh what so getting shoved in a closet in the hope that we'll kiss is a great evening for you?" He seemed hesitant to answer. "Shut up,"

"I didn't say anything!!"

"Yeah but--shut up," I said and he fell silent. "Ugh my Saturday night wasted with those fuckhead drama people,"

"They're not all bad,"

"Yes but a lot of them are," I said and he nodded.

"You can survive one evening," He said, his face pleading.

"Fine," I said, standing up. I was lucky I was wearing jeans and a nice shirt so I wouldn't have to change. "When are we supposed to be there?"

"Like 30 minutes,"

"Well what do we do until then?" I asked. He glanced around the lounge, realizing his mum nor dad were home. We were all alone and bored.

"I can think of some things," he implied and I scoffed.

"Don't be a manhoe," I said.

"I was clearly kidding, chill," he said. Of course he's kidding. For a minute I forgot we weren't even dating.

What the hell?

"Let's just drive really slow," he suggested and I shrugged. We got in the car. "Play whatever," he said. I plugged in my phone and Stitches came loud through the speakers. My face went red and Dan looked at me with the biggest smirk on his face. "YOU LIKE SHAWN MENDEZ??"

"I'm begging you to shut up," I said.

"Aw cute," he said, "try to be emo, but that's all you got?"

"SAYS THE BOY WHO LIKES ONE DIRECTION!!" I shot back.

"How did you know about that??"

"I do now,"

"Asshole,"

"13 year old girl,"

"That was harsh,"

"I don't play,"

(No shade to artists it's just they're the farthest from emo ya know)

My face was red and. My shame was high. I changed the song to Break Free by Ariana Grande, something I knew he couldn't argue with. He liked her too. We sat listening to the music and I hummed and sang along softly.

This is the part when I say I don't wanna I'm stronger than I've been before

Dan was laughing slightly.
