Hey, I recently got into Troye Sivan so expect songs by him for chapters.
Yeah.
Enjoy~
(y/n)'s POV
"My heart hurts to know that. Y'all are leaving me behind." I said.
"I don't know. Starting a YouTube channel just sounds fun." Zoe said.
"AGH." I replied, laying back.
"Why don't you start one?" Phil suggested.
"I hate taking photos of myself. You really think I'll actually want to record myself?!" I said.
"I think you'd be suited for it." Dan said.
"Ridiculous. You enjoy that while I go to college like a fool." I said.
"You're a sophomore. You don't need to think about that." Zoe said.
"Yes, I do. I have no idea what I'm going to do. I need like an English degree to be an author right?" I said.
"Yeah, but that's whatever right now. Just relax." Phil said.
"Fine, what do you suggest we do?" I asked.
"I don't know." Phil replied, eating a carrot.
"I have homework. Anyone else?" Zoe asked. We all agreed and I put on some music. I pulled out my US History assignment and colored pencils.
"You have to color for your homework?" Dan asked. I nodded. "Lucky."
"I know. It's great." I replied.
"You suck." he said. I winked at him and continued coloring. I felt his gaze on me and my stomach flipped. I wasn't crushing on him. Impossible.
"Hey (y/n) can I talk to you?" Dan asked. I looked over at him and he gestured to the hall. I exchanged a quick glance with Zoe before following him. "I know you're mum doesn't like me, and for obvious reasons. I really don't want to offend her so is there anything I can do?" he asked. I stared at his lips moving until he finished. I soon realized that he actually did say something and my face flushed.
"I...uh...I don't know, I mean...be nice?" I suggested.
"Why so flustered?" Dan asked with a smirk. "Perhaps it's the fact you were staring at my mouth."
"What? No. You're crazy." I replied. He smiled smugly, again drawing my attention to his lips again.
"Oh really? (y/n) (l/n) are you staring at me?" he asked.
"Maybe I am. You'll just never know." I replied, heading back into the room I opened the door and a loud thud sounded followed by a groan. I glanced around to see Phil sat back holding his head. "We're you listening at the door?" I asked.
"Pft no." He replied. I rolled my eyes and sat back down.
"Wow, Phil the spy. There could be a comedy movie about the worst spy in existence." Dan said. I laughed silently.
"Hey!" Phil said, punching at him arm. Dan laughed his classic laugh I loved so much. "Actually shut up." Phil said, me laughing.
"Hey (y/n), you going to the dance?" she asked, while Dan and Phil argued mindlessly.
"I don't know, are you?" I asked.
"Yeah, Alfie asked me." she said, squealed.
"Really? That's amazing!!" I replied.
"What?" Phil asked.
"Alfie asked Zoe to the dance!!" I said. She beamed. "I told you he liked you." I replied.
"Yeah, so are you going?" she asked.
"I don't know." I said. "If I do I'll probably go alone, considering it's next week and the whole everyone thinks I'm a hoe."
"Oh yeah, well that's...okay." Zoe replied.
"Did you ask Hazel?" I said, changing the subject towards Phil.
"Wha?" He asked, flustered.
"Do it. She literally is waiting for you to." I replied.
"Seriously?" he asked and I nodded vigorously. "Sure, I'll do it." I beamed.
"And you?" I asked, turning towards Dan. He looked at me strangely.
"I don't know." He responded, adverting his gaze.
"Come on there has to be someone." I said. He shook his head and I shrugged. "Whatever." I replied, leaning back and continuing to color. I glanced up to see a rather intense eye conversation between Dan and Phil but I decided to ignore it. My dog came bounding into the room, laughing herself into me. "Jeez Muffin (is that the dogs name? I'm to lazy to look back) calm down!" I said, Muffin licking my face. She leapt from my lap, glancing around at all the people before crawling into Dan's lap, snuggling up.
"What? Muffin I feel betrayed." Zoe said. Dan started scratching gently behind the dog's ears.
"Aw, she fell asleep on me, I must be warm." Dan said, staring lovingly at Muffin. I felt my heart flutter at the cute sight. Dan with a dog is a little too much for me. I smiled at him until he glanced up from Muffin. "What?" he asked, smiling back at me.
"Nothing. Just the dog." I said. He nodded and I felt Zoe pinch me. I punched her leg at the pain. We continued the homework until they all had to leave for something besides Zoe who was staying for a sleepover. Phil left first and I was saying goodbye to Dan at the door.
"Hey, if you're really uncomfortable with going alone to the dance I would love to take you." Dan said. I stared at him for a while. "As friends of course." he said. I smiled.
"I'd love that." I replied.
We said our goodbyes and I turned to Zoe smirking in the doorway.
"Yeah, I'm in for a real horrible turn of events aren't I?" I asked.
"Yup, but I'm just glad you finally love him." she said.
"I wouldn't call it that." I said, denying it.
"Sure..." she said.
"Shut up."
"Sure lovebird."
I'm definitely not falling for him.
